MIDI to Phrase?

Is there a way to convert MIDI to phrase, for example, maybe even batch convert a folder of MIDI to phrase..to be able to use with the idea tool??

forgot to say..
that "Convert MIDI .. dialog window"
will pop up automatically when you drag the midi file(s) to the Phrase Browser.

Hey Yellukhan, Thanks for the, easy to understand, diagram. My next question regarding custom phrases, if you don't mind, is if it's possible to also make a custom phrase generator from custom phrases. For example, I follow the diagram above and load a phrase onto the timeline but I click the magic wand and it says "this phrase is not a generator".

you have to convert that regular phrase to a Generator first
then the Wand tab will be active

ok, and just to be clear, it won't create a custom phrase generator based on your custom phrases, correct? If you convert your custom phrase into a generator, it will only use the generators that already exist, am I right?

simply yes!

note that: convert process uses only the Rhythm part of the custom phrase .. not the note pitches.
