Just a thought, but, any way you could include the "Improvements" release notes on the support tab for the beta? Just like the "official" release? This way we don't have to hunt for it in the forums if it got buried in the replies.. maybe define a compiler directive??

Edit: seems the project file becomes corrupt at some point.. After deleting and restarting a project, it crashed again..

I would love to check any crashing composition files. Will you send it to me in e-mail?

also note in the second video when I did the transpose, it sounded like it went down 2 octaves but I chose 1. Probably just a fluke, but, dunno, it happened..

it's is missing a style sheet, shows up as a html source code tree.

It is in RSS format. Most browsers cannot display it properly, but for example Firefox can:

RapidComposer v3.6b13 is available!

Please use this update, as the previous beta had some serious stability issues. Now I understand why. Sorry about that.

Changes:

• Fixed lockups
• Fixed: some chords appeared with octave number on the master track unnecessarily

I used the same chords and chord preview settings as you did, but no avail.
I still suspect that the crash occurred because of your chord preview settings. Will you open the Chord Selector and click on Options and change settings? At the moment it is set to use "active track" instrument and the phrase in the Phrase Editor. The Phrase Editor was empty, so you get an error message. It is best to set it to Chord+Bass.

I don't see that for the Chord Selector. All I see is the "hamburger" menu button and that changes colors. I do remember what you are talking about, but, can't find it..

EDIT: On a happy note, crashing has stopped.
EDIT: Found it, it is under "Chord List".. I was using the circle of fifths and "options" isn't listed there..

EDIT: That has been set like that since I installed RC. So, maybe make your suggestion the "default" on new installs???

Really? I tested the strum generator on macOS, it did not hang for me. Which settings do you use? Maybe you can upload a simple file for me?

Inspector/strum generator properties window, all actions cause the program to hang.
Here this phrase is highlighted on the track. Try clicking for example on "create random pattern."

Hi lulukom!

I downloaded the composition and installed the mac beta13 so that we use the exact same application.
Clicking on "create random pattern" did not hang for me I clicked on it many times.
It may help if you open the Activity Monitor, select RapidComposer and click on "Sample Process". If you could send me the resulting text file, that would be awesome.
