Hi. Jumping back into RC after a while. It's good to be back now that I understand the program better.

today, I managed to construct this piece using it: https://youtu.be/spSGkv_Uu-I

(For some reason the picture and sound are out of synch for the first 25 seconds but it catches up)

I'm very impressed and pleased with the result.

Cheers.

very cool! I have aria as well.. Do you get that error that it is missing the ambiance (effects)? I have a Garritan library and they removed it for some strange reason..

Post

Thanks Blugenes.
I've never encountered an error re the effects, it seems to work fine on Aria / GPO.
A long shot but the free sforzando player from plogue does pretty much the same thing (only one instrument per instance I think), and will pick up the GPO libraries. That seems to include the ambience effect, although I'm not 100% sure whether it detects the one already there with Aria. Might be worth a try.

Cheers.

I'm becoming more and more amazed at the capabilities of RC. It is so powerful and flexible once you can get to grips with the concepts.

This is a guitar piece with a Spanish type feel to it and needed very little editing or tweaking.

Again, audio and video slightly out of synch at the beginning but that's the screen capture software I think.

Hi Mike,

What a wonderful day! All I can say is: wow! :)
Yes, it is important to understand the concepts. I'll make a wiki page to summarize what you need to know in order to use RapidComposer. Really not much, just a few key points, and you won't ever need the rest of the wiki or the pdf manual...

It is very interesting that you can take the simplest phrase (it is called PianoSample01, a simple 1,3,5,3 monophonic phrase), and make a beautiful piece just by layering multiple instances by transposing and using 1/4,1/8 or 1/16 offsets, and build a complex phrase by using only PianoSample01.
I think I am going to make a competition for this 8)

Thanks,
Attila

Hi Atilla. Thanks for the nice comment.
I agree that simple phrases with offsets definitely make good music and the flexibility of RC especially parts that are user configurable make it very quick and easy to audition parts in context that allow good development.

I think the competition would be a good idea as there will be some fantastic entries from the talented folk on here and I'd love to hear what comes in.

Thanks again Atilla, and have a great day.

Cheers.
