Only one tiny problem. I'm a total Newbie. I unzip the file and get lots of other zip files.

What now? How do I import the ones I want into Rapid Composer. I'm trying hard to wade through the 3.x Video from MusicAMG, but it's difficult. This guy must be the worst teacher ever. My daughter was almost beating her head on the wall with the umm and errs and soforths. I get more confused listening to this but it's the only one I can find on v3. So far I see no um, er, mention of how to add phrases from an external source and soforth.

Unzip those into a subdirectory of %HOMEPATH%\Documents\RapidComposerV3\CustomPhrases (assuming you're on Windows)
After restarting RapidComposer, those phrases should be available.

Just listened to it. The "piano riffs" are plain block chords at irregular time intervals. Some Chord Generators with minor and min7/min11 chords should perhaps do the trick. Often the best bet sound-wise for those is the Korg M1 "Dance Piano" sound.
On my YouTube channel (see my signature) you'll find a "How to create a House Piano Line" tutorial (for a competing product though, so I won't link the video here for fairness sake). The way to do it with RapidComposer should be quite similar, at least concerning the rhythm structure and chord progression.

last night i realized how to use Ample Sound Free Guitar's Strum Library in RC
unfortunately patterns wasn't midi .. so i have to convert one by one every single pattern
but! totally worth it! :hihi:
(finished all 4/4 time signatures .. rest is more easy)

i think i should ask to Ample sound first, if there is no copyright issue i will share them

Finger crossed indeed.
For other previous phrases you've collected what would be the latest and biggest pack you've shared? What would be the place to go to in the future to get updated version of what you've collected & so generously shared? (thaaankYOUU!!!)
Link at the beginning of this thread? On RC website? Link i got with RC purchase email? I'd like to keep uptodate on what you're collecting because it's such great stuff and also because every time I hear a new youtube video of you trying out something new "I gooots to haz it!!!" :D

Thank you so much Yellukhan for collecting all these phrases, and for your awesome videos showcasing them!

I have a humble noob question: could one get into copyright trouble for using say a Beethowen, Mozart or Chopin phrase if it gets recognized? I know it's unlikely, but theoretically it could happen. I would guess it's okay because as far as I know stuff becomes Public Domain when it's older than a century (or at least that's the impression i get from things like Project Gutemberg collecting old books), which would also explain all the philarmonicas across the world playing them... do they all pay licenses to some "Beethowen foundation" ? I'd guess not, but maybe I'm wrong.

I wonder because i'm sure for example there's a lot of pianists with commercial albums on say itunes/spotify/amazon music, and if they have an album say with Chopin then surely that gets indexed by the algorythms and might trigger a copywright claim. I'm wonder if you know more about this project. I love Chopin for example, and I'd love to take some old songs of his and chop them up into bits for phrases and then put them in RC on progressions in different orders (ooo, randomizing with groups of AABBCC might be great) ... but maybe the phrases are known enough or at least might trigger algorithms to call that song as belonging to some famous pianists commercial album...
If you know of anything on this subject I'd be curious.

regardless, thanks a lot for collecting the phrases! even if the above would be a problem it's such a delight to have them and one could potentially regenrate them or % regenrate them in parts to get things from them or the brilliant convert to generator (thanks so much Atilla!). Plus it's such a delight to hear you Yellukhan while you compose... it's like an emerging song. Do you have a place where you put the finished versions of these songs? I'd love to hear them having heard their emergence.

here is how i used Bach phrases in 3 examples so far i found in my projects..

speaking of myself:
actually using this material to make future causes/copyright etc. i do not think this even would possible..
i mean re-create something from them same as their originals is waaay over my skills :)
even if i try to that .. they separated to instruments and chopped to small bits
now on creating new sections from them is totally the Idea Tool's job not mine :D
joking apart,
getting / re creating similar passages to the originals again from that separated instruments and small chops
its almost impossible IMHO.
unless if you do that purpose by re construct all original instruments & motives in order.
even in this case you have to re construct the original harmonies .. in RC term chord progression :)

...

not perfect as your beautiful presentation!
but here is the basic demonstration how i used so far..

short:
all in this examples,
i create one or two voices that will follow exactly the chord progressions
Bass and Second voice in the chord (sometimes Third too)
then i use the Bach phrases to create melody like motives to top of that Bass & chord voice followers.

let me know if i miss something!
