I could have sworn that this has worked well before, but I may be wrong.

+ not a problem but seems there is also a visual bug,
double click to a part or a Line to loop/see only that area
RC shows also next Region .. outside the loop ..

The display issue is fixed now (in the next beta version) when using various signatures.

Have no clue how I did this, but, I managed to accidentally set both input and output midi ports to the same port number. This causes a midi feed back loop. Fortunately, LoopBe has a feature that mutes the port if this happens..

Yes, it is possible to build a MIDI feedback loop sometimes. It depends on which MIDI ports the system offers and how they behave. Usually it is disastrous...

Some more not quite right with using non-4/4 bars.

1. We are in a new song. Drop a chord, length bar, onto a track. Change time signature to 3 with "Resize" checked. We end up with an extra note hanging into the next bar



2. Try doing the same from the Master Track "Beats per Bar" and it gets even odder. Notice that the bars are at 3, the chord is split at 3, but the chord marker is at 4?



3. New project. Change the time to 3. All good. Open the Phrase Browser, select 1 bar, crop a chord. Seems to have 4 beats not 3.



4. Same sort of problem when we get to Rhythm Processing: the ghost beat



I suspect these are all related to a single issue.

This is fine. This operation does not affect phrases, and should not change the length of existing phrases.

I suspect you are using v3.66 because this works well in the latest beta version. I remember I fixed several such bugs recently.

This is also fixed in the latest beta version.

4. Same sort of problem when we get to Rhythm Processing: the ghost beat

Here the same applies: the phrase lengths are not affected by changing the signature.

Idea Tool crash (standalone OSX RCr3.7)

1. Load tune, open Idea Tool (as an aside, there seems to be some sizing issues here -- notice the chopped off dialogs on the track)



2. Select "Use Existing Melody Track..Then Harmonize."

3. Select "Add New Part"

3. Select item from Harmonization menu & crash

seems we can't setup the Variations before applying, in the Idea Tool/Variations: list ..
for example Apply Rhythm Variation
i want the Sustain Notes activated
activating in the list never get applied to the Phrase

also
if i do Master Randomize: Variation in the list turns to Default Settings
(Sustain Notes turns to not selected)

tried also with Mirror Horizontally Variation
same results both Track and Master Randomize as above..

(didn't tried all of them but seems this is valid for all Variations?)

Many thanks for this bug report! I have fixed this bug.
The fix will be in v3.71 (maybe next week) but the current v3.7 installers were rebuilt and re-uploaded so that new users won't get affected.

I was surprised by this, and it turned out that checkboxes did not have any effect on the variation. I fixed this embarrassing bug. Please download the current installer with the fix.

I have "Version 3.7 built Jun 1 2019", with History showing: v3.7 (June 3, 2019), and the Support tab tells me RC is up to date, but it was installed before these posts. Is there a newer installer, besides the 3.7b7 beta? If so, where to get it? (I never get emails about updates, btw…?)

its official one with the same version number "3.7" (not the beta)
you can manually download and install if the auto update doesn't work because of the version number,
link must be in the first licence (for RC v3) email you get from Attila.
