just thinking out loud:
is it possible to have an option to use the chord in the time line on Drag & Drop import?
or ability to enter the base chord somehow?

(i can already import them via regular midi import with no problem/quickly .. but)
i think might helpful in drag drop import
when we import the prepared materials that we already know the chord in it.

---Allow Overlap Notes

(just in case to being clear, by overlap i don't mean the same notes/pitches in this case they must be different notes to trigger the legato function .. otherwise same note overlapping would cause the note mute/silence/cut in most case with the Legato patches in my experiences)

-with extra checkbox to activate (maybe!?)
-and a slider for adjust the +/overlap length value
(i have no idea but this might be necessary in some instruments)
or
-just a checkbox to activate a fixed size overlapping?

to me currently important one in the Staccato Legato variation an option for:

---Do not Legato Between Lines
as like in the Join Notes Variation / Do not join notes at line boundaries.
(also when/if its implemented Do not Overlap Between Lines too.)

Apply Melody Variation

variation does great rhythm adaptation to melody phrase
based on rhythm of the BG phrase as i understand..

how about ability of Apply Melody Variation's magic between two tracks?
one track for BG Phrase, second track for Melody is it possible?

in this scenario i think having full control over the Melody track phrases would amazing!

When dragging a rhythm from the rhythm browser, you should have the same options as if you're dropping on a phrase as you would on the track header. Right now, if you drop a rhythm on the track header, it drops the midi on top of already existing midi.

what I did was setup a I - IV - V blues at 12 bars, dropped a whole chord on the track header to fill out, then tried the same with a shuffle rhythm and it didn't work as expected.

--a slider for Stick to chord note "Percentage .. 0 to 100"
--maybe a list for Stick to "Up, Down, Nearest chord notes" too..
--a selection for ignore-exclude (don't touch) the notes shorten than
1/128, 1/64, 1/32, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4

some of my impressions ...:
-one crash (I attached a report to the post)
What would I like to add?
In the midi import window:
- preview of each instrument to select the necessary tracks
-option apply of the analyzed chords in the master track
More precisely, not even immediately apply, but first try (listen)))


-I would like to drag phrases with ALT work and dragging midi files ( I mean to Apply melodies and rhythm).

-And I want the menu that opens to choose (how to use drag and drop: melody, rhythm, etc.) of dragging ALT to the browser was tied to the browser window (I mean, when the browser window is a separate window, it's normal only when the window browser is part of the main window).

-It would be great if you can drag not only phrases, but also midi files into the new browser variations apply of melody and rhythm !
By the way, I expected progress on the controller for phrases).

i am going to correct myself:

double click to a Track: zoom in to that track and double click again restore to previous zoom state..
this is very close to what i was trying to ask and describe above ..
but!
only thing:
it doesn't restores the previous Horizontal state of the zooms
if its easier than the above one,
just having back the previous horizontal state via double click to track
would do the same job beautifully!
