Hi there,

first,
sorry for the ugly muckup this was the closest image i found..
second,
i have total harmony noob .. must be obvious :) ..
i just thought it would be helpful when you want to try/use borrowed chords from Parallel modes
i would prefer to see the chord names but
maybe with Numeral / Chord name switch also would useful.?!
third,
sorry again if its already possible somehow .. if yes please would you point me to the right direction!

EDIT:
less-poor ugly mocup
seeing major/minor in the chord names also would great i guess..

Ah, so many good requests! :tu:
Please allow me some time to implement them.

The borrowed chords are displayed in the Quick Suggestions box:

Do you still prefer to display them like on the mockup screenshots? It can be done if that is useful.

Thanks,
Attila

hmmm
if i am not mistaken, Borrowed Chords works for only currently selected chord (?)
i was dreaming to see all chords in the Master Track's Scale and the Parallels in same Root at once :D

EDIT:

as i said Harmony part over my knowledge .. so .. i am open to suggestions too

And I would like in the future to be able to create templates for the Chord Substitutions in the window of Saggestion !
There are enough ways and technologies to Chord Substitutions!

I see, yes, that makes sense! Added to the to-do list...

"..What is simple, is simply seen.."

Thank you Attila! :)

just thinking out loud,

Idea Tool / randomize /randomize Absolute chord progressions then pick the scale:
is it possible have an option something like
"use/pick only the closest Traditional Scales" in the Maser track?
7 notes maj, min, harmonic minor etc.. (even maybe modes too.. Dorian, Lydian etc ?)
so,
avoid/bypass to using the 8 or more notes complex Scales .. like major minor mixed?

Post

Yes, I checked a lot of progressions.
At the moment it is a requirement that all notes in the chord progression should be on the scale. Therefore sometimes very complex scales are found :(
The program looks up major and minor scales first, so those have priority.
Yes, it is a good idea to locate traditional scales only, even if there are out-of scale notes in some chords... I try to implement this soon.

sounds great!!

then i can fearlessly use the melody generators on any chord progressions :D

This is done now. The following new options were added to 'Apply Melody':
'Remove Notes Higher Than Melody',
'Melody Transposition',
'Melody Expression',
'Background Expression'

A new beta version is expected in the next 1 or 2 days.

Post

I forgot: yellukhan, I am impressed what you can do already with 'Apply Melody' in its current state. The videos are great. I hope the new settings will be even more useful.
Thanks for the feedback and suggestions!

Attila:
This may be a request that can already be done, but I haven't figured out how to do it. It would be wonderful to be able resize parts from the timeline (where you can move those parts around now). I often import work done in either Notion or another notation program, and have parts of varying lengths, and lines of varying lengths. Right now, I have to take a best guess at part lengths, and then copy and past lines, and delete parts and lines, to get them all in usable chunks.

Best,

David
