Hi Forrest,

it is nice to hear from you!
I have ReWire on the to-do list, but it is not high priority at the moment. I am sure I will add ReWire, but not in the near future. Supporting VST3 and Audio Unit would be very important, and of course the MIDI CC added to phrases and notes are the next tasks.

Thanks!

A Call and Response Generator for Melodies would be greatly appreciated. An Orchestral Template would be cool as well

Nice signature, silenthill2006! Thank you! :)

I don't know how difficult it would be for you to program but would it be possible to incorporate features similar to autotonic where it transposes white keys to a selectable scale where we could input via midi the rhythm and progression we'd like whilst also throwing a curve ball by throwing some random into the key input whilst keeping it in scale ?

For instance I pick C major scale and play a melody of say C-G-E-F-G-G-A-C BUT RC will randomly switch the notes to other notes in the scale whilst preserving the timing of the notes ? Give an option for like 1% to 99% chance of randomisation for each not pressed ?

Or maybe ability to feed a midi melody into RC set random % for each note in the progression and then allow RC to process it and output the new randomised variation whilst keeping the timing and humanisation intact ?

Counterpoint generator? :) Classic rules switch on / off?

Hi Digivolt,

interesting thoughts! A "Randomize Notes" variation could be added and you could specify a percentage, and apply it to a phrase or whole track. Seems like a good idea!

Thanks,

a little strange one:

in the Idea Tool is it possible to have an automatic transpose option for the chord progressions to chosen target scale?

scenario:
Idea Tool "Select from specified progressions with absolute chords, then find a scale"
-put dozens of progressions "Absolute Chords"
which means there will be also different scales depending of the chords in the current/selected progression via randomize
-in the imaginary settings that i try to describe : define the Target Scale you want
press generate &
let the RC automatically Transpose the Scale and Chords to target scale .. like we do in the Master Track Inspector manually?

Yes, this is a good idea. I wanted to suggest using the "Select scale and choose from specified list of relative progressions randomly" but that does not help if you want to use your existing progressions with concrete notes.

Added to the to-do list, thanks!

musicdevelopments wrote: Thu Dec 13, 2018 1:54 pm Hi Ajay,
good idea, of course :)
I am not a big fan of including "styles" but once I had plans to import yamaha STY files.
Not many people requested styles in the last 8 years, but it is on my to-do list.
Thanks,
Attila
That would be an AWESOME feature to be able to import yamaha STY files!

Currently I have to put a chord progression in Reaper output in MidiLoop input back in a sty player like (OneManBand, VirtualArranger2,RMCA Pro) to audition different styles on the fly and then record back... (Part of History.... Harmony Assistant from myriad-online.com started import of sty files but Jammer Pro or Onyx Arranger use their own formats...

Yamaha STY could then, say, be use to populate a library of bass,rhythm,drum,piano,fills,intro/outro. 2 Options as a tree for each style file imported Or as a Common Database (Maybe a tag to filter e.g bass by styles genre, etc)

Hello !
I also once wanted to use the styles of interactive synthesizers ..
But now I think that we need a more advanced technology, one that allows you to quickly create any styles yourself from any midi file or RC phrase. And apply these styles to any other phrases and midi files. Thank .
