Here at IK, we understand the travel responsibilities of a musician and how important it is to be able to practice and learn anywhere. Fitting everything you need into a suitcase is destined to bringing challenges... but not any more. We introduce to you the newest product in our iRig line, the iRig Micro Amp - an ultra-compact, 15W battery-powered guitar amplifier with an integrated iOS/USB interface. Say hello to your new favorite music practice and travel companion. You can even pre-order now and get free shipping!
Weighing only 2.6 lbs, iRig Micro Amp is available when you need to practice, record, perform, and make a statement wherever you go. Fully equipped with a full-range 4" driver, this little device is designed to let you do more, go further, and play harder. A setup small enough to fit in a backpack allows for playing, recording, and learning virtually anywhere. Small enough to accompany you everywhere, yet carrying pristine 24-bit, 96 kHz sound quality, iRig Micro Amp is ready to join you on the road, on your desktop, near to home, and far away.
Got power? Of course we do. iRig Micro Amp can be powered two ways - by AA batteries or by a 9V power supply. This gives you the freedom to rock out, record, and practice virtually anywhere you choose with no outlets needed. It also includes an auxiliary input and headphones out for silent practice, as well as a cabinet output to power external speakers for band practice or smaller gigs. Take it with you to learn riffs on the go, or fit in some extra practice right before the big show. Bring it for backstage jamming or for learning new sounds on the tour bus! Simply plug in your guitar, play, and let Micro Amp do the rest.
iRig Micro Amp also works with professional recording software like Logic, Pro Tools, Ableton and more. This allows you to record your own songs easier than you ever imagined. Never let another moment of inspiration pass, and record riffs immediately as they come to you. Plug into AmpliTube or your other favorite apps and software to get a world of tones in the palm of your hands.
Derived from IK’s industry-leading iRig HD 2 mobile guitar interface, iRig Micro Amp’s iOS/USB connection lets players connect to their iPhone, iPad, Mac and PC to process their tone with IK’s AmpliTube app and use their favorite practice, performance and recording apps and software. With the included AmpliTube app and software, iRig Micro Amp can open the box and immediately jam through 10 amp and 26 stompbox models with the included AmpliTube CS app, plus 9 amp and 10 stomp models from AmpliTube 4 on Mac/PC.
iRig Micro Amp will be available in March from the IK Multimedia online store and from IK authorized dealers worldwide for $/€149.99*. Pre-order now and get free shipping!

I looked on youtube and found a few talking about it but none playing. Interested but want to hear it first. I have the irig nano and while it isn't much at all with the built in speaker it sounds pretty good connected to a cabinet. I am curious how this will work.

We had a very large enclosed room with multiple closed rooms inside that room, as well as the area outside of the room (and a nice balcony). There were certainly opportunities. Not our first rodeo, as the saying goes.morelia wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 9:54 pmMiced up, line out or recorded on a phone in a room full of chaos?Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 6:38 pm We have demos during NAMM (and units out to play). Yes, we're also trying to get it out there at stores etc where people can really try iRig Micro Amp though that's a tough one for "practice amps" these days.
