I’m looking to go deeper into using an iPad Pro in conjunction with my desktop based DAW. I’ve got a lot of great plugins and a handful of nice hardware synths. I also have a ROLI Rise 49 that gets a lot of use. I don’t need anything MPC like, as I have Maschine.
What I’m looking for are instruments that aren’t just good sounding, but make use of things like the touch pad and accelerometer in interesting ways. With that in mind, I like apps like Patterning, Boarderlands, and iDensity.
What other apps offer really fun and unique interfaces for making music?

The real fun also begins if you control your desktop plug-ins with things like Geoshred. Almost as good (sometimes even better) than my Seaboard Rise.
Maybe the most expressive app is the Seaboard 5D app (not the Noise thingie) and Finger Fiddle is outstanding as well but sadly these apps are also crippled in terms of input/output options. Otherwise these are tools which sets these iOS devices apart.
