Hi,
I'm looking for the most accurate and responsive tuner for my Andriod phone and am wondering what the most accurate tuner is?
I've tried DaTuner and G-Strings free tuners so far. I found that DaTuner could detect more extreme low and high notes compared to G-Strings.
Are there any better tuners than these for the Andriod phones?
Doesn't need to be free!

Forgot to mention I don't want this just for guitar and bass. I would like the tuner to work on any instrument.

From searching the market, DaTuner really looks like the best one. As a developer, I'm always tempted by the idea of filling gaps in the market, but this app looks pretty spot on, and the reviews are mostly very positive.dickiefunk wrote:Anyone??
What instruments are you trying to tune that this app can't handle ?
Edit: Actually ClearTune seems really nice too.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Yes DaTuner has been really good so far and I haven't come across an instrument that it doesn't work with. I'm just wondering how accurate it is compared to other tuners?
ClearTune looks very good aswell but not sure which would be the most accurate?

Please don't fill the gaps! We don't want any more tuners on the android market! Haha, just kidding. Actually, I am just one person so I could use help with DaTuner, especially at this late stage where it is more or less stable. I am actually not a musician myself so I totally rely on feedback from users to make improvements; if you guys have any requests or criticisms, let me have'em!

A lot will depend on the mic and associated hardware in the Android device.

I got the Fender one for some reason (must have been looking for one). Didn't get to checking it out properly but it seemed fair... then it went all "pay me, pay me!"...

I use VocalPitchMonitor on Android. It works great as a tuner, even for an electric bass unamplified. It is also useful for singing practice if you do that sort of thing, as it shows a trace of pitch change over time and also lets you record and play back.

Might be accurate, but usage is not very good. The Noodlist wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 5:41 pm Strobe Tuner Pro - APP - Mini REVIEW https://www.gotaukulele.com/2012/11/str ... eview.html
An app compared to a Peterson strobe tuner with startling results. An old review.

I have to back VocalPitchMonitor as well, at least from personal experience.
Take care

Strobe Tuner Pro looks interesting, but the author doesn't seem to publish the specs, only "awesome accuracy".
