using tonespace and hypercyclic in Logic X

I am using tonespace and hypercyclic in logic x and I am having an issue I can't resolve. when i configure both tonespace and hypercyclic to use my KORG nanokey2 as the midi in and out, there is no sound. in the case of tonespace, it recognizes the keys that i am pressing, but no sound. i am sure i am forgetting to do something obvious...
