At the moment I have a soundcard that uses ASIO4ALL.
Its OK, but exclusive, which means that when my DAW is running, any other program outside my DAW that wants to use sound is forbidden from doing so.
Are the Focusrite ASIO drivers like this, or do they allow other apps like Windows Media Player to use them simultaneously ?
Are the Focusrite Scarlett ASIO drivers "exclusive" or can other Windows apps use them while DAW is running?

Should be fine. I've got the older version of Scarlett MixControl and, while it can be set up with various routings, as default all audio from Windows should just run into the main channel.
