Here are some instructions:

1. Uninstall any existing EMU drivers and PatchMix versions.
2. Install 2.30 beta drivers (EmuPMX_PCDrv_US_2_30_00_BETA.exe) and reboot.
4. Download XFTI_PCDRV_L11_2_40_0018.exe, then extract it with 7-Zip to a temp folder like C:\temp. Example file structure should look like this: c:\temp\XFTI_PCDRV_L11_2_40_0018\setup.exe
5. Unzip the attached ScriptFiles.zip to c:\temp. You should now have FilesToReplace.csv, EMU_Driver_Fix.ps1, and the XFTI_PCDRV_L11_2_40_0018 folder together in c:\temp.
6. Open an Elevated powershell window and change directory to c:\temp.
7. Run .\EMU_Driver_Fix.ps1 from the Elevated powershell window. The script does 3 things: 1) Disables the EMU card in device manager so we can overwrite some of the driver files. 2) Reads the csv, loops through each entry, and overwrites the necessary files. 3) Re-enables the EMU card in device manager.
8. Install PatchMix 2.20 (EmuPMX_PCApp_US_2_20_00.exe) and reboot.
9. Your card should be fully functional now.

I encourage you to check out the script and csv before running it. If there is any concern about running a script, you can manually replace the files as listed in the csv, however it is 111 files.

My initial discovery of this method happened by a happy accident as I was examining Creative's X-Fi drivers which they fixed for 1903. I noticed many similarities to the EMU drivers, including many leftover references to the EMU products. I force installed the Creative drivers to be used with a virtual device (a Voicemeeter/VBAN virtual soundcard) and after a reboot magically my EMU started working. I came up with the method above after painstakingly examining what exact combination of these files it took to get success as I wanted something repeatable and shareable. I believe in 1903 MS has fixed a flaw, enforced a best practice, or enhanced the audio stack in a way that broke what EMU/Creative had done in the past.

Good luck!
Had to register just to thank you for this! My 1616 was for the bin until I came across your post! Awesome suggestion - thanks! :)

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You saved my life. There's no way I could afford a new interface right now.

:) Omg. You are the man. Thank you very much. Its amazing you managed to find the fix for this and patch it up for us like this debugging it. You should work for Microsoft. Thanks again I was stuck on 1803 for the past few months I had to reinstall because I couldn't roll back after deleting my windows old folder after realising my card didn't work so I just decided to give 1903 another go and found this. I am so impressed it took me a bit to fully understand but as I kept reading I got the hang. Thanks for all your help everyone and posting pics and vids I didn't no how to use PowerShell really then I tried the ISE version which was way more helpful. It is genius that ClubHouseKey figured this out. (Outstanding). Have a Happy New year Everyone. Cheers. Keep up the great work. Regards

Does anyone have the working link for the following:

XFTI_PCDRV_L11_2_40_0018.exe - Updated Creative X-Fi drivers for Windows 10 1903

After answering the math question, it doesn't start the download.

UPDATE: Reinstalled windows10 and followed all steps now everything working fine. Seems like if you install older drivers regardless of uninstalling it may not work.

RRRRRRRIGHT ON !

1212M PCI user here. I was going to try Clubhousekey's recommended fix but but the link for XFTI_PCDRV_L11_2_40_0018.exe is not working and zergeater666 mentioned that he had to reinstall Windows 10 to get this working, which I don't have time to do. Anyone have any suggestions?

Update: I was able to get my 1212M working by following the instructions here

Can't get 1212m to work in win 7.I installed this first:EmuPMX_PCDrv_US_2_30_00 Rebooted then this:EmuPMX_PCApp_US_2_20_00 I followed the steps on page 2. I've owned this card since it hit
the shelves. Plus I bought A back up
Thought I deleted (but maybe only disabled) the computers sound but I'm still getting audio when I
plug into the micro jacks.
Please help.I've been putting off leaving XP because Creative made it look as though their Emu had
seen its' day day and there's no drivers for other OS. Thanks

Post

I just read the driver should be installed BEFORE installing the soundcard(s).Is this true?
