I found this site, http://synthesonic.weebly.com/shop-on.html has a page that appears to show the Astral Dreamer Pro still available for sale. The PayPal links were still active, and to my chagrin, readily accepted my order. Don't do it. The download link points to H.G. Fortune's now defunct website and there is no download.
I had my doubts initially, but one last lingering hope to find a registered version of the Astral Dreamer Pro overrode my skepticism. Fortunately, PayPal will allow one to recover payments that are "problematic" so nothing was lost.
Anyway, just a cautionary note for anyone still seeking this wonderful synth.

Interesting questions. It is my understanding that Mr. Hager's passing was rather sudden so it's quite probable that he didn't close his PayPal account. The email receipt I received back from PayPal shows the payment going to Gunter Hager, which bears out this supposition.These domains: http://ww2.hgf-synthesizer.de/ and http://www.hgf-synthesizer.com/ are defunct. Hopefully there is nothing shady about this.
I've contacted PayPal already so they will have a look into the matter and I'm to have a reply by June 4th.
