I am trying to record some automation with the STS-33 (third-party VST) through my DAW (FL Studio 11) and it doesn't seem to be working properly. What I've done is select one of the built in presets (Raiders of the lost sound) and adjusted some of the settings and then saved it as a new custom preset. I called it Soaking 1. I record the automation and everything looks good. I play it back and it sounds exactly the way I recorded it. I then save the project and reopen it. Everything LOOKS exactly the same (all the automation data and the preset) but sounds completely different than when I originally recorded it. I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing wrong, an issue on the plug-in's end or an issue on FL Studio's end. If anybody has any suggestions, it would be much appreciated. I'm also posting this on the FL Studio forum just in case. Thanks!

I am having a similar issue in Avatar.
Only HG synth i have this issue on.
I have ST 33 and will see if i have the same issue you reported.
