For each version? I presume no saving, but is there a horrible noise nag?

Not for Vaz Modular, it simply times out and goes silent after 20 minutes. You can save the patches you manage to make in those 20 minutes for later use of you should decide to buy it.

Awkward nicksituation, this is a bit like coming to a party in the same dress...

That's a nice scheme. But does it mean there's noise in the other versions?

Not that I know of, I haven't tried the others but I suspect that when Martin decided to change the way the demo worked for the better he probably did so for all the Vaz, erh -es.
