latency when vaz used as a vsti?

i have been using vaz inside flstudio 9, with asio drivers, etc, and noticed something odd.

if you record a loop that is synced to the host, when it renders, there is a (tiny) bit of silene at the start, and the same amount of material cut off the end.

likewise, if i run vaz without host sync, it sounds perfect, but in sync mode, i swear there are tiny (just enough to notice) re-adjustments of time sync at the start of each measure.

is this inevitable, or has something been set wrong?

Have you tried this in any other hosts? Even VazMod hosted in VazMod?
