So I picked up an Akai S612 recently. I think I've needed an old 12 bit sampler for years to give me the real lofi sound I prefer. Anyway, I used it on the drums in this jazzy hip-hop track I put together.
Side note, I definitely need to make my hi hats more interesting next time.

Yep, those are some cheesy drums alright. This cried out for some rap vocals.

Recently found myself missing my old Akai and Yamaha hardware samplers. Bit of a nostalgic itch that (fortunately) I didn't try to scratch.
