My Feedback
Music - 8.5
Instruments - 9.5
Performance - 9.5
Mix - 10
Overall - 9.375
Comments: I can't believe not one comment yet. Sheesh, this place is dead. Anyway, typical fine mix from you. I like the robot like melodic stuff. Has kind of an FM sound but don't see any FM synths in your lineup. Anyway, well done as usual.

fair enough ratings, thanks Wags.
honestly the instrument sound programming
took twice the composition time, especially the
ultra fine adjustments to the Surge guitar patch
i made from scratch.
and the OBXD arp sync tone.
as for comments...

I think it's sick with all the people you and Wags rate and give constructive feedback that people can't take a couple minutes to do the same. I really like your style Layzer. Now that I listened to a few of your songs I can hear your style now. Sort of retro futuristic robotic The only thing with this song is it seemed to need some sort of break, because it marched on the whole time without really a break. I really enjoyed it though.

Eh, I'm used to it already. Musicians, in general, are very self centered people. Yes, there are exceptions but this place just reaffirms my beliefs. My stats would drop your jaw to the ground they're so bad.ATS wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 12:44 am I think it's sick with all the people you and Wags rate and give constructive feedback that people can't take a couple minutes to do the same. Mathematically it translates to this.
For the tracks that received comments, it comes out to 1.78 comments per track commented on. That's less than 2 people.
But it gets worse. If you average the number of comments over all the tracks I've posted it comes out to 0.72 comments per all the tracks I've posted.
So basically, when I post something here, I'm LUCKY if I get ONE person to comment on it.
And yet, I comment on almost EVERYBODY'S music. The exceptions are the people who make you jump through hoops to listen to their stuff, like posting on sites you have to sign up for or posting stuff you have to download. That's where I draw the line.
One of the poster's here (forget his name) actually offers a bribe to people. Listen to my track and I'll return the favor. It's sad when you have to resort to that but it is what it is.
Personally, I love listening to Layzer's stuff. He is one of the best mix engineers here. But I like listening to all music. I wish more stuff would get posted here. But the subforum, in general, is pretty dead. So what can you expect as far as people listening to your stuff when there aren't many people here anyway?
Oh well, I've rambled on long enough.
Hey Layzer, still waiting for your comment on "PIg On The Dash" (Just kidding)

Audioterm is so cool. You'll speed up using it over time. I can make a WT in about 2 minutes now. Maybe less.
Anyway, have fun with Surge.

Nice , a little quirky, but I like it.
Some good vibe changes interspersed. Mixed well.
You get some good sounding songs out of non-expensive plugins like Obxd.

it doesnt bother me at all, i'm NOT a needy type in the least
retro definately... which is why i'm not into alot of the current synths and sounds.
i like the old sound of vintage analog and 90's romplers. and i can get that with more lightweight free or inexpensive synths. my obsession is really the soundstage that they are presented in. you can swear all day by omnisphere, but if you can't mix and master, you CAN make it sound like freeware.
yes, it is a bit hurried, but as wags once said, today, people are impatient and their attention
span has been reduced to that of snapchat. get a pic, look at it and on to the next one.
i thought the guitar and arp slow downs sufficed for varying the tempo.... in that respect.
but, glad you took a moment from your busy day for a listen!
and even enjoyed it

Fun romp. Great use of your synths. The aggressive lead is infectious for sure!
Good work man!

You’ve created another strange and interesting musical space. It definitely conjours up abstract imagery. Great mix too but you’ll never get the babes with this music.
I think I heard a synth sound that was possibly used on the 1979 Shiny Beast version of Bat Chain Puller.
