Effects only?

Is there a way to just use the effects/amps without the MIDI guitar (like Serum FX)?

I want to insert Softube's Acoustic Feedback VST, and it sounds terrible after effects have already been applied (it's meant to be inserted before effects).

I was able to get it to work with no presets turned on, with Acoustic Feedback next, then NI Guitar Rig. This sounds perfect, but then I lose all the great OTS presets as a starting point for the sound.

I'd love to be able to use something like an "OTS Effect Engine" plugin for both MIDI and real guitar.
