And now, the sale you've been waiting for: the Orange Tree Samples Summer 2019 Group Buy. This is your opportunity to get up to 60% OFF all our libraries, and as you probably know, we don't have sales very frequently, especially with discounts as great as this.

How It Works

In the group buy, the more people that join the sale, the greater the discount becomes, up to 60% OFF at the highest discount tier. Starting today, all you have to do is add a library to your group buy order. You can modify your order at any time during the group buy.

The sale applies to all our sample libraries, including bundles and bundle upgrades. In fact, if you've saved up any of those tasty Orange Slices points, they can be combined with the group buy discount for even greater savings.

The group buy signup period lasts until July 22nd (at 8 AM PDT), after which you have until August 12th (at 8 AM PDT) to complete your purchase. Of course, if we reach the highest tier before then, you'll be able to check out early.

You can change your group buy order at any point, even after the group buy has ended (as long you joined the group buy by committing to purchase at least one library). So even if you're not sure which exact library or libraries you want, be sure to add something to your group buy order to save your spot in the sale.

Once the group buy has ended (or if we reach the highest discount tier before then) you'll receive an email with a link to complete your group buy purchase. This link is also accessible from the group buy page in your account.

Contests & Giveaways

During the sale, we'll have contests and giveaways. We also have a special freebie that will get unlocked once we reach the 1,000 participants tier. Once available, the download links for each freebie will be on the group buy webpage.

Last year's group buy ended with nearly 2,000 participants. If we all work together, reaching the highest discount tier will be a cinch. Don't miss out on this opportunity to get incredible savings on all our libraries!

How You Can Help

Besides joining the group buy, simply participating here, our Facebook page, or Twitter is incredibly helpful! If there are any communities you know of that would appreciate this sale, please share the news with them, or even just let us know and we'll make sure they get the announcement.

What are you waiting for? Join the Summer 2019 Group Buy today and participate in this great discount.

Hi, I've got a pretty greedy question :-) In the description it says: "The sale applies to all our sample libraries, including bundles and bundle upgrades. In fact, if you've saved up any of those tasty Orange Slices points, they can be combined with the group buy discount for even greater savings."

Does this work even if the group buy gives me 60% off? So if I have orange slices that would be good for 17% off would this come on top of the 60% of the group buy - so that I would end up paying only 23% of the original price? Yep, veeeery greedy thought, but I just wanted to be sure ...

I think I read somewhere that the orange slices are only good for a discount of up to 50%. So I guess I could only use them if the group buy should get stuck below 50%, right?

Percentage discounts are multiplicative, not additive. So, if the group buy goes to 50% and you use your orange slices to get a 50% discount, then you will be paying 25% of the usual price since (1-.50)*(1-.50)=.25.

If it goes 60% off in the group buy and you have 17% off, then you'd pay 33.2% of the usual price* which is a savings of 66.8%.

*This is the case since (1-.60) *(1-.17)=.332.

This is assuming Greg's system runs like a usual system.

I just joined. I'm #458. That's pretty good progress this early in the group buy. I'm sure we can reach the max discount.

This is exactly correct--it ends up being multiplicative because of the discounts being calculated one at a time rather than added together first and then applied.

Your favourite Orange Acoustic guitar?
I've got just electric ones, but I consider now either the Songwriter or the 12 string jumbo. Totally different animals, but which one is better?

If you want something more "meat and potatoes", my vote would go for Songwriter. Jumbo 12 is a great sound, but it's definitely a more specialized sound, so it won't work for every acoustic guitar track--but if you're looking for a more distinctive acoustic guitar sound that fills plenty of space, it could be a good choice.

I wonder, is Steel Strings still the least technically advanced Evolution Acoustic or has it caught up with the others? (It's the only one I have right now.)

I don't have either one (I'm picking up the Jumbo 12 in the group buy), but I don"t think you can really compare a 6 string and a 12 string, at least as far as which one is better. I have Evolution Steel String, which I like a lot. It's probably better to compare Evolution Songwriter with it; maybe someone who owns both can comment.

Yeah, my point was a comparision between those 2 in (e.g.) the following dimensions
- sampling quality
- strumming feeling
- presets
- overall sound colour

E.g. I’ve got the Hollowbody 350 and Texas Tele. Totally different genres, but I think that the Tele sample quality is superb in the comparision.

I see that we're currently up to 808; the number seems to be climbing fairly quickly. At this rate we should have no trouble reaching the maximum discount. I need to start thinking about what additional libraries to get in addition to the Jumbo 12...

I'm thinking about getting two Flatpick 6 and combine them into Flatpick 12. There's only the question, if I'll put them together will they be still Flat?
