Evolution Songwriter won't play MIDI files

I recently purchased Evolution Songwriter, I have it installed correctly, but it won't play any MIDI files in my DAW (Reaper) when I load it in Kontakt. There is no sound and it gives no indication that it is reading the files correctly. However, I don't believe the problem is Kontakt as I can load and play one of my piano VSTs in Kontakt just fine on the same project.

EDIT: Apparently there is something wrong with that particular MIDI track as I'm able to load it on others. If anyone knows why that would occur that would also be helpful, thanks

EDIT2: It was a silly reason, I simply did not have Kontakt playing on the correct MIDI channel
