Very nice Sampleconstruct.
As can be seen in Chandler's latest video, have you found (or tried) lowering the number of harmonics to gain a lower CPU hit? He shows that when the harmonics are located at their default position, they aren't really being applied to the sound and can therefore be omitted from the filter (and assumably from the additive oscillator as well).
Will it be uploaded as a toy/tutorial for the rest of us or is it for personal/ professional use?

Thanks. I tweaked the number of harmonics so that I wouldn't lose the highest partials, that was done by ear not using a spectrograph. This patch is part of my first MFS library so it'll be available sooner or later.werzel wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 12:10 pm Very nice Sampleconstruct.

Just want to share my work MSoundFactory so far...alls MSoundFactory, most of the Sounds were designed from Scratch (only additioned by some Bitwig FX). I share this just as a "pay back" to Melda for his great effort...Maybe someone feels inspired by this and buys MSF...anyway...all this stuff only scratches the surface of MSF because I haven't used many of the FX yet...MS is just incredible.
1.) My track for the One Synth Challenge #124
2.) A half way finished track with some patch experiments
3.) A Patch demo...

From the Patch Demo I include one of the ARP sounds...a slighlty "going off pitch" sound that reminded me of kraftwerks "it's more fun to compute"...
If anybody is interested in Sounds, please PM.

Yeah, the upper register sounds a bit too mickey-mousish, I'll try analyzing a different vocal sound for the high notes and then crossfade between the layers via key follow although that will increase the CPU load quite substantially. Unfortunately there is no way to create split patches as the key range always affects the entire sounds, we do need key zones per oscillator(s) like in other synths (e.g. Falcon/Avenger).ZentralmassivSound wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 12:58 pmThe lower oh/ah notes sound totally convincing! Yet another very nice patch, and demo of its capabilities. Looking forward for the sound set.
Might be just what it takes to seriously get immersed with the MSF as mainly a user. So far, the possibilities are all there (and more), but the factory sounds are mostly of the 'lab' type, not that much of a finished/polished touch that could make them actually practical to use and by the same token put the MSF at par with all the big synths out there.

Thanks. I had to overcome some resentments first before deciding to delve deeper into MSF, but once you get used to the awkwardness of MFS a lot of sound design potential unfolds. So I am now doing a 100% sample free library for MFS.mevla wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2019 5:52 pm Yet another very nice patch, and demo of its capabilities. Looking forward for the sound set.

[watching with extreme interest, hoping for yes to devices (or at least GPresets with easy screens, as here), even if those are no more complex than shown in this latest video demo.]
EDIT: Found on the Patchpool page for this soundset (https://www.patchpool.net/msf_synth_factory.html):
Synth Factory for MSoundFactory is patchpool's first soundset for this vast modular synthesis environment, it will be 100% sample free and focusses on various synthesis forms. Taking advantage of the sample analysis in the additive oscillator and modal filter, organic and expressive vocal, string and percussive sounds will be created. Dozens of wavetables extracted from acoustic instrument samples will contribute to building a musically useful sound library for a large variety of genres. Many patches will also have a device interface on the easy page, all patches will have the modulation wheel assigned.
