That reminds me of something I'd love to see implemented in whatever fashion makes sense. That Randomize button is a work-killer if you hit it by accident (and it's awfully close to a couple of other buttons one frequently clicks). If you accidentally hit Randomize when it's been 15 minutes since your last save, then you've lost 15 minutes of work - happened to me recently.

It would be a benefit to sound designers who would never think of randomizing anything to be able to disable all Randomize buttons globally.

There's an undo capability? I know this makes me look pretty stupid, but I never noticed! I have tried ctrl-Z with no success, so I looked no further I guess. A couple of days ago I learned about Backup, and now this. Hell, the Melda system is like Unix. You can work with it for a decade or two and still find things you never knew about before. Oh well, keeps things interesting. :D

Undo button is above the MIDI button on the Meters and Utilities tab.
Are there others?

Exactly! Open the plugin toolbar on the right and under A-H presets there's undo & redo. Should do the trick.

Still, Ctrl-z is a standard, it could be useful to have it. Like adding the delete key to delete modules: could be useful. On Linux Alt-clicking to delete does not work since Alt-leftclick is used to move windows and Alt-rightclick to resize them.

Keyboard stuff is often a problem. You may do undo in the daw etc. Better to avoid this really...

Ahh cool, I didn't see that. I'd say definitely keep the rotary! I love it with the settings you chose, it just adds an organic feel without sounding to obviously like a rotary. You could just add the lofi FX, could you?
I ended up adding it. To be honest maybe there are too many fx, but maybe this will make it a better device. I added the lo-fi tape effect thing and I'll post the preset below.

Sounds great, thanks! But the EQ FX seems not to be enable-able from the Easy Screen switch though it looks set up OK. Any idea why that is? (Or is it only here…?)

Here is something I made a few days ago. It consists of 4 FM operators that blend with an Oscillator. Each operator has its own LFO that also controls the way that specific operator blends with the Oscillator. I left all modulators under the hood unused for the user to personalize.
There's a 16 step Sequencer that has a filter blend as well as Convolution + MBDistortion effect for big dirty rock sounds, which can get nastier with the customizable Ring Modulator. I went off of the main template in the presets (from which I made my own similar template) so the effects are for the most part to the template standard. I also experimented with a different approach with displaying the EQ.
The presets should demonstrate fun ways this can be used.

I have a beginner question:

Is there a way to use a plugin's position in it's FX matrix as a parameter for modulation?
I mean the row and column number - for example in Modular32 I can place a Crossover plugin and set it up to split the spectrum into 32 channels - about like a 1/3 octave equalizer would do.
Then in each column below that crossover I would like to know the mid-point of the crossover frequency and use that as a modulation source.
I want to calculate 1/sqrt(mid-freq) * scale-factor - where 'Scale Factor' would be displayed on a knob. When assigned as a multi-parameter, that one knob should scale each assignment based on that formula - which would result in a different value for each one of the 32 columns.
To be extremely specific, this would be setting the delay time for a delay line. 32 delays with each delay different based on its crossover band.

I think I need to use a bank value for this, but I'm new to this, so I want to get started in the right way before I get lost in experiments that would ultimately fail or be too complex. 'Bank name interpolated' would be where I might start.

Better yet, is there some preset around that already does something like this? It would seem to be a not-too-unusual feature.

Smart bypass will compensate for latency, so that when you toggle the bypass switch there will be no jump in time. Imagine how annoying it would be to try to compare dry (no latency) and wet (latency), if the signal keeps skipping forward and backwards. So the smart bypass will delay the dry signal so that it is aligned with the wet signal. Now there will be a smooth transition.

When a module is bypassed it is not currently being used, so the plugin disables it in a way that does not use CPU. This is a great feature if you have created a device with lots of processors that do not need to be all switched on at the same time.

However you can not use these two useful features at the same time.
If the plugin is to disable the module that is causing latency and then switch it back on, it can not know how much latency compensation to use. Therefore modules that induce latency have to continue using CPU in the background when they are bypassed, so that when they get switched back on, everything will be in sync.

So you have to decide which is more important.
Have smooth bypass that uses more CPU.
Or have a disjointed bypass that saves CPU.
