…back to practicalities:

So, how would you keep anything in a preset from being randomizable, besides creating an MP for it and not checking Randomizable? That's what I assumed locking was for up 'til now, but it doesn't do that, that I can see. In fact, I can't really understand why Easy Screen controls, on any Tab, CAN be set to Lockable, and un-set, considering that this is applies to that MP across all devices and presets (right?). How's that even work?

And I thought I read somewhere in the docs about randomizing Melda plugins to the effect that levels were not randomizable by default, or did I just dream that? Or maybe break it somehow?

I'm definitely seeing the Global Gain getting randomized, often WAY high, without it being on a MP.

I'm talking about being on the Easy Screen in that device you correctly complained about being too loud, and hitting the top-most, left-most Randomize button, circled above, then watching all the Easy Screen numbers change… THEN going to Edit mode and checking the Global Gain, which of course CAN go way above 0.00, unlike Volume, and seeing it way up there, when I'd previously set it to 0.00 or less.

Each MP has "Randomizable" switch ;). Check the MP settings ;).

I love playing it, playing with it, poking around in all its endless layers, wondering about it when I'm doing other stuff, thinking about it when I wake up, and when I fall asleep. I even love being frustrated by it—I just can't quit it, and that's exactly what I most want from a synth, or any musical tool-toy-instrument.

A question then:

How to adapt an existing GPreset (or Device) so that you don't lose the MP links that you don't plan to change? Adding to the Main template without changing anything already there doesn't reset what hasn’t changed, so why would that happen to a preset I built on it when I swapped out one of the things I'd added?

Specifically, all the new Easy Screen controls I'd added to the Preset I was now trying to vary, are now no longer connected to anything, even tho what I changed had nothing to do with any of these. I just changed an FX modular's content, but when I clicked to another tab, all the controls were broken. What did I do?

I've tried everything I can think of, right clicking, alt clicking, control clicking. I have no clue how to feed 3 rows of oscillators (in the matrix) into one filter. Is there some hidden command somewhere?

If you don't want to disable the outputs, check Steal input for the columns with no mixer.

However the stereo width is overly wide, yet I don't see any effect on that could cause this. Seems that the FM module produces this width just as is?

Thank you so much for testing this. The width actually is in the FM module itself. You can adjust it using the width parameter at the top. I just redid things, so it is now labeled as stereo width, which is more clear. I'll post the new version here.

Ahh cool, I didn't see that. I'd say definitely keep the rotary! I love it with the settings you chose, it just adds an organic feel without sounding to obviously like a rotary. You could just add the lofi FX, could you?
