ttbomk i have yet to see that deal-making famous artist endorsement (prog artist in oz..??).

i'm often impressed by the musicians that use my plugins (today, jeff s., thanks!) and the range of musics that employ what i generally think of as a 'boutique range of products'.

please post links to your music here if you use xoxos vst in your music, perhaps with a short description of what you produce, or how you use my vst. i can't promise it will increase your market value, it might provide the occasional pleasant diversion :)

taotekid warrants immediate mention for outstanding musicality rendered in several demos of my plugs

thank you whether you share or not :)

hey ! I saw in my bancamp stats that a few visits originated from this thread,
I should scroll down & visit your forum more often :)

thanks for the kind words Sir :D

here are tracks made exclusively with xoxos-ware (I only used external amp sims on the guitars) :

a tribute track made with Pling3, Syng2, Phybes13, Aerophone & Svati,
I also used Arp4midi on Phybes & a bit of Outdoorverb :

a short naive little thing entirely made with Pling4 (& Arp4midi),
the 4 patches I used in this are included in its bank :) :

a little something I played with a guitar patch I made for Pling4 :

First and foremost. Thank you for your awesome plugins!!! These track contains sounds from the new Elder Things plugin, mainly the intro and the outro and also some dynamic delay effects using the amboe effect plugin.

To anybody reading this who wants to do something different, the Elder Things plugin is definitely worth checking out. Emulating "voices" ( more along the lines of creatures from the abyss ;) ) using a synthesized vocal tract, awesome!

Aside from using the plugin as an instrument, I will definitely be tinkering with it and recording as many samples from it as possible to be used in future tracks.

Here are the tracks. I am very happy with how the first one came out in particular.

I did most of the music(not the vocals) for this workout video, an hours' worth of music w/ drum parts that were sequenced using Steps and freeware samples.

moe  the ultimate in music production gigs. the other one i'd like to do is the theme for the financial segment on a talk show/news broadcast (although the genre has probably moved on from the fast dynamic bass playing).

avatrol - weird for me, with contemporary glitching and mixing that sounds 90'sish.. back when people were running a dozen sounds on one bus, so you'd have this group of sounds that were all glued together. i don't know how that happens nowadays.. you ran groups through the tract?? i don't know if i can offer constructive criticism - some of the sequences are very keen.

what i'll offer - there's this genre of music since the 90's of instrumental tunes with beats. tbh i think it's ~post warp/aphex twin, when producers started making instrumental music. pretty much almost any track featuring drums and electronic sounds and no vocals i find hard to sit through, because producers ~fetish rhythm and electronics and the harmonic structure/intent of music is secondary to the fact that it's something they made ("music that isn't someone else's music"), which is cool as imo the commercial paradigm has debased the function of music. i've done tons of such tracks through the years and generally the only ones i remember are the ones where the tune is first and foremost, regardless of the edits, mix or technical innovation.

ymmv.. most of the music i like lately has simple melodies i would have considered vile at other times. a good tune seems to transcend genre, chronological setting. imo most of the technologically oriented music i hear is about reclaiming autonomy in an image saturated, for sale world (which is something i am willing to criticise ;) )

Thanks for your insights. The mixing is pretty horrible with some of these tracks and it's probably what I struggle with the most. I'm actually fairly new with vst instruments and recording lots of tracks, so I'm learning a whole lot every day, but I'm relentless in my approach, and sometimes that route isn't all too forgiving. I took your advice and used multiple busses and it seems to have helped the clarity a lot for a couple tracks I'm working on now.

Speaking of tracks with vocals, I have a few up on soundcloud that I used your plugins on that actually do have singing. Less techno/brainy dance type stuff.

i don't really know if it's insight :hihi: i don't think my musical sensibility has much pertinence to others :) i didn't mean the comments about the mix as a criticism, and tbh i regret saying anything subjective, it's irrelavent to the thread. liking or disliking things at one time or another is a pretty mixed bag. my ears don't react so well to loud sounds as well now, so i've likely experienced a gradual gravitation away from big drums. my sentiment isn't important to others who are enjoying such things :)

i guess i should add my music since i use my vst foremost..

Cheers Folks, hello Xoxos!

Well, I have been using XOXOS plugins since... I would say since Dancetech times... and well, most of my tracks still has at least one or two of these gems. Drums especially. Actually, for some of my tracks the first plugin I load is a Cleardrum... or a Brush... or maybe something else, but then I will put a fair amount of Servo on top.

Anyways, I do IDM-ish ambient techno, if that makes any sense...

I won't say which of Xoxos' plugins I use, but hell do they inspire me. This track uses both some of his synths and FX:

This seems the best place to post - it's not music as such but an application of one of xoxos' models - Oscine Tract :)

I recently finished a bird autamaton and used Oscine Tract for the bird song. A couple of the presets were used but I generated others using the random function in eXT and then tweaked things for consistency.

It's not a hi-fidelity application - the sounds were transferred to a voice chip. Here's the video:
