demo restrictions or bugs?

i just found out about the possibilities of maize sampler and its actually what i have been looking for, so i tried the demo version and found several strange behaviors:
1. exported plugin lets both reaper and ableton crash after trying to close the plugin or deleting the track.
2. i cannot make the groups listening to different midi channels. is that a demo issue as well?
if i am switching the groups in the plugin i cannot get any information out of the plugin. so nothing is there, if it is put on midi channel 2. only midi channel 1 works. also i didnt find a way to switch between groups in one instrument. so i could only put the 2 groups at "always playing" to get both groups playing the samples...
