Hello,

we are proud to announce that the final design of our new product has been finished.

Ampethron is a synthesizer designed mainly for live acts, producers and DJs who would like to enrich their live shows and make them more interactive with party crowds thanks to unique control. Of course, Ampethron synth can be perfectly used in studio work – thanks to new types of synthesis you can add innovative, unique sounds to your music production.

We will update this thread with upcoming news about the whole concept of unique control once the info will be revealed in full.

Thanks for reading!

The video-audio clip is quite meaningless. Just sweep sounds like OSC filtered, no real demo shown.
Yet, on the picture above we see some kind of GUI and touch screen? Is it an app, is it a hardware synth?

I guess now every guy with basic coding skills stamps the word "innovative" to everything. Cringey.

For now, the company has released limited info from their prototype:

New concept of synthesizer, new style of controlling and playing sounds.

Very different, unique unit for Live-acts and Djs (also for studio production).

Many algorithms (types of synthesizers and instruments) in one DSP hardware device.

New types of synthesis/re-synthesis.

2 parallel/serial filters (14 types of filters including unique ones).

4 oscillators (real-time wavedrawing oscillator with touchscreen, wavetable, virtual analog, re-oscillator).

Touchscreen control + hardware unique control for live-acts or DJing.

Draw your own waveforms in realtime with touchscreen (LFO and Oscillator waveforms).

Multiple external connection possibilities.

To me it looks like a touchscreen instead of dials which controls the hardware. So it can be seen as either as a plugin with its own PC+ soundcard or something like a virus (which is a DSP virtual analog synth) or a Modal Argon synth with a touchscreen.

I wonder if it's hardware as in a USB stick?

Hello,

as the device is primary designed to brings new element mainly for live performances and DJing, the innovative thing is in its unique control and usage, which was not revealed yet. And no, it is not the touchscreen ;)

I say this as someone who loves and supports indie and small developers. If you are Korg, or Roland, or Moog or even Behringer, this kind of a "no info" early reveal with what should be buyer-danger-alert words like "new", "innovative", "unique", or the ever popular and incorrectly used "revolutionary" might fly. When you are a developer no one has ever heard of before, it is ill advised to do this.

Wait until you actually have something to show. You say the final design is finished. Show something that backs up your use of "new", "innovative" and "unique". The demo shows none of this. If you post something like this on the biggest hardware forum on another site, you will at best be ignored. If you aren't so lucky you will have your product mocked relentlessly before anyone has even seen it.

If a band says they are "unique and innovative" and they give you a 10 second clip of music that sounds like a very basic band with music that has been done 1000 times before, you will likely ignore anything they actually come out with in the future. Think out your release strategy more carefully. Learn from what other indie creators have done. Best of luck.

@BassMasterK: We are not newbies, just the project is new. Part of the developing team were people which companies are successfully established more then decade on the market of DSP. You can check our partners on the website, once it will be launched in full.

We are really close to uncover all the details, meanwhile here is a short teaser:

So it's a tablet that runs custom made virtual synths? And you control those via touch screen or xbox controller?
