All 'analogue', individual outputs for all parts, some nice features on the sequencer. I think these release announcements are related, just don't ask me how ;)

i don't really do "drums" much, so not as exciting for me personally.
but i can see that being very popular :tu:
and yeah, not as cheap as the crave, but still inexpensive for the product :)

Let's hope that they(the competition) handle it... dominance isn't good for the consumer without someone hard on the leader's heels.

Post

I think it's great for the consumer that there's a company which is able to fire out so many interesting synths for such low prices. Obviously, the competition isn't capable of doing this. Isn't it a great thing, not having to shell out Moog's prices, for example? I mean, take a look at the Moog Sirin, a slightly modified version of the Minitaur, and they charge over 500 € for that... isn't it great to have a company which doesn't charge 200 € for its brand name, but, offers really affordable stuff?

Sury, you could argue that Behringer rapes the competition with that. But, only because it can be raped.

Post

Well this came out of nowhere...

Reminds me of the Micromoog, my first synth. It's not an identical feature set but pretty damn close... plus the sequencer, MIDI and patch points and an awesome little form factor.

Seriously aggressive price, and I agree they're going to sell zillions of the things, and this will probably be the new standard "how to get started with modular" box.

I'm not sure if I'll get one myself -- depends on how other stuff goes with changes to my synth setup. If it had two VCOs I wouldn't hesitate, and if it had a triangle I'd be thinking pretty hard about it :)

Have you seen the Verbos Little Horse? That's more of a Ferrari logo ripoff, but they totally should have gone for Rainbow Dash.

Apparently the sequencer allows you to control gate length per step and does ratcheting. This is the first hardware GAS attack I've had in years.

Even this guy can't make it sound bad. Absolutely amazing sounding thing.

Sorry for being stupid, but... do i get this right? You get two of these, and can use them to have 2 oscillators?

Yes, but most people (I would think) will use it to sequence and patch-up other things which have (additional) oscillators.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

It also has poly chain, allowing 2 or more to be linked for polyphony

It's a lot of work when you cannot save presets...

It saves 8-banks of 8-sequences, each up to 32-steps long.

In the Philippines, the foreign currency advantage is very high. Last time I was there,
30 yrs ago, it was about 50:1 in favor of the US, now 30+ yrs later its currently 52:1.
Which is a lot...

Ah, right. Nope, 'patch-memory', that's what cell-phones photos are for. (beats drawing them)
