Any reason to think it will at some point not be compatible with the Maschine sofware? They can be picked up for ~£199 vs £109 for the A25 but have the light guides and screen per encoder vs single screen.

Can anyone comment on the S25's DAW integration with Ableton Live. The A25 seems quite good on this count.

In terms is Live integration it's pretty much the same only you lose the buttons and screen with the A series (and aftertouch)

The Maschine Jam is selling as low as £229 at the moment. I think it has a good Live template. A cheap Jam and cheap S25 is a tempting combination.

Bear in mind if you are using Maschine to host instrument plugins aftertouch won't work anyway, best to use Komplete Kontrol for that if you have a S Series keyboard and just use Maschine for beats.

Any reason I shouldn't buy a NI Komplete Kontrol S25 controller instead of the newer A25?
