Been following their campaign for a while, but have no funds to buy. I have such a nice spot for it alongside the Rise 49

...One day... :tu:

What I'd like to find out (May ask at their forum) is if you can have multiples of the same surface controlled independently, as I'd love a 48-pad finger-drumming controller

Sure you can :) Check out this video where all pads have been set in different midi channels: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Cgh4NK ... e=youtu.be

Haha! You're here. Thanks for the reply.

I have watched that video. However, my wish would be be able to use all three overlays for the same midi channel, and to be able to map all 48 pads to take advantage of the many snare/cymbal/hat articulations of some of the better virtual drumkits :tu:

Yes, it's a coincidence!
Well, my answer is still "yes you can". All the 16 buttons of the pads module can be configured separately (note number, midi channel). And because the configuration is stored physically inside the module itself, you can configure 3 pads in different way. For example:
- Note 1 to 16 for first pads module
- Note 17 to 32 for the second pads module
- Note 33 to 48 for the third pads module
To have an overview of the possibilities, may I suggest you to download our editor here: http://www.play-joue.com/en/support ? It's free. And once again, keep in mind that the modules embed their configuration, it's not stored in the Joué device.

Ok! So, I downloaded the editor, and managed to configure it like you said. Looks like I can have 3 blue pads, all configured to midi.channel 1, with all pads running sequentially across all octaves. That's pretty special

The only thing left to know is whether it is as sensitive and consistent as my Rise for finger-drumming. One day I hope to try it out.

Thanks for all your help :tu:

i know you've had an answer from the horse's mouth, but im sure i remember in one of the videos i saw, several key pads where added together to make 1 keyboard across more octaves.
it was this that pushed them past interesting toys to useful tools. cool to have the mini kB for example on a train, then in the hotel to have a full range keyboard just as an example, with little weight 8)

Exactly! It's a very compact way of getting 4 octaves :tu: And if the 16 little pads also have 5d expression, then things start to become a little Linnstrument-esque. Maybe people would start to share presets of pads to resemble certain alternate scales etc.

My only reservation is the build quality. Don't get me wrong, I think it's beautiful; However, especially in a portable unit such as this, I would love to see a lower-cost plastic version

fraid i cant help with build quality, i doubt ill get my hands on one around here, with out ordering one. nowhere nearby that will stock anything like this, if its not a traditionally recognised instrument, it aint getting in the shops in this backwards hell hole

Hello all, we just released a new module: the Grand Clavier. Which is a 25keys keyboard with high level of expressivity. Aftertouch, YControl, Vibrato, Glissando, expression bubbles. All in a single module !

By the way, we are currently doing nice Christmas offers on the essential pack. It's 399€ instead of 479 during December. A good opportunity to get a Joué under the christmas tree :)
