That raw-tone is awesome. I have a Caparison with that and it's so sexy I'm afraid to play itperfumer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 9:50 am That one. Waiting for the order to ship.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Definitely a great looking guitar. Very similar look to my 7 string Jackson (mine's a hard tail though)Hink wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 8:01 pmsweetperfumer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 9:50 am That one. Waiting for the order to ship.

it is, I took it out because for some reason I thought you said yours was a neck-thru
edit: apologies, that sounded kinda snobby...I actually bought from a friend here, Muff wiggler but I changed the pups and knobs (saved the originals). They were handmade in the 70's and early 80's in Japan but the company went elsewhere after creating their own lamination process. It's 14 pieces of rosewood and maple

UPDATE: Bax got back to me, promising a refund.
It seems there was no malevolence on their part.
All's well if end's well... wait and see.
---
My acoustisoap continues.
I cancelled the order within the legal 14 days, Bax pretends to misunderstand that, and moves delivery 1 month ahead.
I protest, Bax prepares the Fender for delivery.
Sigh.

Bax kept ignoring my pleas and shipped the Fender anyway. I've sent a complaint and will try to refuse delivery, when the mailman rings me out of bed.
I ordered this beauty from Thomann instead. I can only hope it survives handling by UPS.

(Damn Bax, I had been waiting for a coherent reply from them, could have ordered saturday already)

Only a few hours sleep, thanks to Bax Music.
They ignore my mails and damage-control my tweets.
The Fender is spending the day on a road to nowhere.
Buyer beware!

Another day, another guitar delivery
UPS was lightning fast this time, they even delivered at home like they're supposed to.
The Cordoba Pro Negra is gorgeous. I went for that expensive model cause I wanted the better Fishman pickup, but the craftsmanship seems to warrant the price by looks alone.
The guitar came in a sturdy, luxurious (humi?) case with leather look and (lovely decadent) maroon plush interior. It even has a lock, I feel like a proper prohibition era mobster.
It came with a strange little cable, jack on one end and a clasp on the other. The clasp has a disk on one side. I have no clue as to its purpose. Anyone?
---
Concerning my Stagg electro-acoustic: the tuning problems seem to have subsided, must have been a case of user error while restringing.
I feel bad for her, as I prolly won't be playing her much anymore. I've spent many hours happily strumming her, may have to find a new home for her now. For the time being, she's reduced to "Sois belle et tais-toi" (be beautiful and shut up) but she still lightens up the room.
