Here’s an example, the wall of noise starts pretty much at the beginning:

I like the way it's not that harsh, and allows some beautiful sounds that are in the background through. I'm looking for a way to generate a similar wall of noise in FL, but I am also interested in learning how to achieve the sound in hardware as well. Thanks.

nice track
try adding layers of reverb followed by distortion.
old dirty analogue delays would help too, building up to self oscillations.

Careful EQ'ing (possibly dynamic...) and sidechain compression to let sounds peek through the murk. That's my guess
Like the sound of it! Where are they from?

It was a one man project from New York, USA but it's no more. His albums "Solace" and "Just a Momentary Diversion on the Road to the Grave" has similar sound to the example above but his early work is black metal.Clearscreen wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 1:21 am Careful EQ'ing (possibly dynamic...) and sidechain compression to let sounds peek through the murk.
