Any ideas on how to make or which sounds to layer together to get this plucky pipe sound like Avicii did in this remix right here?
Thanks in advance!!

It sounds like heavy feedback on a flanger.

You should go for FM to recreate it. With a simple 2-operators patch (A Sine OSC modulating B Sine OSC) you will get close.

I used Ableton Operator with only 2 operators.

The carrier is a sine, with a basic pluck enveloppe (IE no attack, no sustain, 1s decay; 300-400 ms release => adjust all these to taste).

The modulator is a sine too, I choose to raise its coarse pitch to 4, which is 3 octaves above the carrier pitch, but again you should try other values, the more you raise the pitch of the modulator, the "glassier" the sound will become. I made the modulator's enveloppe shorter than the carrier (0 attack, 87ms decay, 50 ms release, but, guess what... you should adjust to taste ). Added some LP filter a touch af reverb, and that's all.

Sounds like this:

This is not an exact recreation, but you have the basic idea to create this sort of patch. Play with the enveloppes, the pitch of the modulator, you can add other modulators, add effects, and you will get closer.

What guys above said. However, I think you'd be fatser if you tried additive instead of FM - any additive pluck with flanger will get you there quickly.
