Hey, how can I create this hard pluck sound (NOT the lead) in this song starting at 0:00 ? I'm familiar with basic waveforms and classic synths and that, but i know nothing about that new stuff. :? Also can you recommend me some nice vst synths for this kind of music?

This pluck sound is trivial. It's a bass layered with a higher sound (kind of organ, I think). Notes is played in unison, they are relatively short. And a reverberator for all of them. You can do it in any synth you own, nothing special.

Yeah i see it now, just confused about "modern" type sound... Gonna try this with synth1 (which i recommend for everyone anyway, it's comfy and freeware too btw)

thank you.

Synth1 is good, I thought about it. There are very cool and useful plucks in third-party presets.

Have you tried Synth1 Librarian? It facilitates the search. I hope you'll find all you need.

Synth1 uses .sy1 format not .fxp. Seems like you made that patch for Sylenth1, but your patch does not even work on Sylenth1 demo which i downloaded. :?

Anyway thanks, i appreciate your work.

no it's for synth1 but I exported it in fl.studio as a single preset so it's fxp.

Ive reuploaded it with the .sy1 file

It's a very nice patch, thank you! :tu:

I personally use ableton live so didn't know about that...

yeah sorry silly of me.

It's quite easily made in any synth with 2 osc's but synth1 one can sometimes be surprisingly good at certain sounds + so CPU friendly and of course FREE

Yeah! I love the easy interface, flexibility, it's sound that's like between analog and digital and just beautiful look of it. If i like the look of the device, it really inspires me to create better music.

I'm tried to use massive, absynth and these other new school VSTs, but I just love the workflow and sound of these old styled "simple" synthesizers.

just look at this candy

The Synth1 filter is really not the best for some modern type sounds. Try also the free TAL synths, they are very nice.
