Hi guys :)

How can I remake this kind of bass sound ?

I have a lot of vsts... Sylenth, Massive, the Arturia V collection....

Thanks a lot :)

Pretty simple bass in my opinion. The defining aspects of this sound imo are 1. the smooth filter and 2. a reverb with a small room alghorithm.

For the filter try it with 2-3 pole (12-18db per octave attenuation) and an only slightly opened envelope. If you can select the type of filter go for a ladder filter rather than a digital state-variable filter.

Think you could go into more detail? I gave it a try, and even though I'm pretty confident with my subractive synth, I wasn't satisfied with my results. Seems simple on the outside, but once I gave it a shot, nope, I couldn't do it. But I would be really glad to have this patch under my belt. Great sound.

Yes indeed, sounds pretty simple but I bet it's not...

Anybody got ideas? :)

I'd like to hear others give this preset a spin. I suspect it's not so had, but I did not manage to get it.

I was going to make a similar thread, so...BUMP

Sounds like a SCI Pro-One

Sounds like a typical classic Minimoog bass sound. However, Purple Disco Machine uses the ROLAND Juno-106 a lot for bass, could be some twwaked "rubber bass" patch.

All it is it 2 saws. The second one octave up and either chorus or some unison.
If it's the Juno then probably chorus.
And of course the filter envelope (pluck)

I made another similar preset for charlatan. Did this much quicker and it's closer than the synth1 version.
A little attack on the filter helped get that wobbly feel to it.
Some little extra tweaking (for those perfectionists (me too but not right now))

Thank you for your efforts. Just in case the OP is on macOS, neither Synth1 nor Charlatan are running on today's systems. A modern freeware that runs on both systems (and even Linux) would be TyrellN6 by u-he: https://u-he.com/products/tyrelln6/

Charlatans unison is so good but unfortunately not mac

Synth1 is though.

But any nice virtual analog synth can basically do it.

Two Saw's. 2nd one one octave up.
Volume: sustain all the way up and some release to taste
Filter: some (very little) attack to give it that nudisco feel and quick decay. set amount to taste. Add unison (I found 3 voices just right, gets too busy if more) or use chorus or perhaps both.
