i came up on reason, loved it. when i added logic to the mix, i rewired the two (a nightmare way back in 2009). this seems... too late, but... am downloading the demo, will see how it feels. at $100 for the intro package, it could be a worthwhile deal; we'll see....

EDIT: good to see some old faves (thor, for one); but nothing i personally need. for me, too little, too late. still, good to see this happening (& works well in logic).

Does anyone know how to install the Rack VST? I've installed Reason 11 demo which apparently includes the Rack VST but I can't find any sign or mention of it anywhere

it will show up in your DAW, like any other plugin...

now I don't know how to get a sound out of it, as it can only be loaded in an effect channel in FLstudio :/

update, ok sussed finally that you have to link it by midi channel

The free* Reason Lite doesn't come with the Rack VST plugin.

You can either buy Intro for EUR 79 or upgrade Lite to the full version of Reason for EUR 179:

Mmh... that's unfortunate. Thought i could at least Reason Lite, as i passed on Reason Intro. But, without the option to load it as a Rack VST, that's out of question now as well.

Jeez - not even in the Black Friday deals - great way to treat existing customers!!

People with the cut down version get a nice discount, those of us who paid full whack don't. Crazy and disrespectful.

Usually a vst3 gets installed to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3".

I enjoyed using the standalone rack to host AIR's Loom plugin. I'd forgotten that
aspect of the deal, until I saw it scanning vsts first time I fired it up

Loom sure is a fun plugin, will sound good with Europa, methinks
