I have noted you request for v2.1. Its to short before the release to add something like this.

Project status update:
The number of patches that will ship with Icarus has raised to 1600.

well this is using icarus 1.6 but i wanted to show the obvious......

Icarus as other synths can do a lot of styles and genres....

1-just 1 icarus preset no processing or external FX...

with 3 icarus instances + reaktor + omnisphere

Excellent stuff man! And yeah that's the type of thing I like Icarus for as well. It's one of the best for digital ambient sounds.

it's not my area but taking on consideration the functionality and filters i think icarus can be great at...

Icarus is good for all styles imo, I use it for all the hardcore genres, drum n bass, Dubstep which aren't really mainstream, but the filters are so good, its a pleasure to use.

Evolving sounds are probably it's forte IMO, modulation seems endingless. (that even a word ? it is now)

I think I read that it will have MORE distortion options, which is very welcome as with the new Drum section, will make for interesting patterns and sounds. I still love E2 for the good old supersaw style leads, but Icarus does a great job with them too, for the tarnce lads around

(and ladies)

Its really a great all rounder.

Indeed drinking too much coffe currently...

With Icarus1 i made the misstake to include too many EDM-style patches and demos. As a result many people thought it was an EDM-only synth, although it is not limited to this at all.
In v2 i will do better. There are a massive number of non-EDM patches included

- Additional distortion types will be part of the v2.1 update
- I just finished the installers for PC

MPE players are in for a treat, this thing is so much fun on a seaboard. Also having all the windows visible at once is great on a nice big touch screen! I just couldn't be bothered flipping between the filters on V1.

Nice big arp window too. Gotta say, this is maybe the most powerful arps I've used in a synth plugin.
