UPDATE:
Added spectral wavetable morphing into Vital. This one stops formant shifting from playing higher notes (e.g. chipmunking) and moved that control into a knob.

I'm working on a new soft synth and came up with this cool way to create wavetables from text. It started with a 'Vocode' import (https://twitter.com/i/status/1142221431364702208) but I was tired of finding vocal samples and dragging them in so I hooked a TTS engine up to it.

The synth is called Vital, it's not out yet but if you want more info you can check out the site:

Hm, this is cool idea. But would be even cooler if instead of typing text you could just say the words, then the synth would recognise that :)

If you record yourself there is a 'vocode' wavetable import option you can use on that sample.

Now that is awesome!

This is sick, Matt.
Since watching the intro for vital that was given on sonoj convention I really look forward to your upcoming new beast synth!
BTW: As I said earlier elsewhere - probably think about providing a beta to the OneSynthChallenge community. We do tracks each month only using one featured synth. It could help you get some presets and find some bugs... and us have some fun :-)

Thanks!
Yeah I'm definitely going to open it up to OSC once I finish cleaning up the interface and run it through some more beta testers.
