Has anybody noticed this with SubLab?
In the large (~5Mb) GIF screencap below, I have Reaper (Win10) playing D2 and C2 into Sublab with only the X-Sub volume turned up. Note the relationship between the Reaper MIDI note, what the X-Sub "keyboard" indicates, and the frequency of the 1st harmonic as shown in Voxengo SPAN. Should be easy for anyone to duplicate and test themselves.
So, Reaper -> X-sub Keyboard -> SPAN:
R_ -> X_ -> SP
D2 -> D0 -> D1
C2 -> C0 -> C2
It seems that the X-sub can only produce frequencies from C2 down to C#1. (And it seems it cycles through this octave regardless of the MIDI octave being played.)
I haven't tested what the lowest note is that the Synth can produce, but one effect for me is that the sub can be either at the same octave as the Synth for a given MIDI note, or actually above it.

Gavin from FAW told me that this is because, as you play higher octaves, you would lose the sub. He also said they’ll add an option to disable this feature in a future update. Check out the FAW forums.

Thanks. This is an interesting design issue, both for sound and the Sublab plug. What I find a bit disconcerting is that when I'm playing E1, both the Synth and X-sub are playing that pitch, yet the X-sub "keyboard" suggests it's playing E0. I'd assume that a "sub bass" would actually be playing below the bass, likely an octave below, as plugs like Lowender, bx_subsynth and Submarine interpret it. But perhaps that's not the style here.perpetual3 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 10:41 pmGavin from FAW told me that this is because, as you play higher octaves, you would lose the sub. I’m puzzled about this myself. Would you mind posting these two comments in the FAW Sublab forum? Or I could do it, with your permission, but I’m on the road to my grandmothers memorial service and I won’t be able to do so for several hours.cturner wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 11:33 amThanks. I’m happy to post them a little later in my afternoon, Eastern Daylight Time. You’re welcome to post them there as well if you find that preferable.

Where can I use the discount code, please?Mathematics wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 3:05 am The one thing this has over Kick 2 is the subharmonic generator that you would normally find on MaxxBass or RenBass. Apparently, there is a discount code: "mrdiffsublab" to knock the price down to $34.00.

- Go here: https://futureaudioworkshop.com/
- Click SubLab (if it doesn't take you there already)
- Scroll to the bottom to buy now and click it
- on the next page, enter the code and click Apply coupon on the right
...and the electron responded, "what wall?"

New version incoming tomorrow for 808 day guys!
Just a quick update, we're working away here in the heat adding features and ironing out the creases. The discount codes will probably work until we get everything added from the feature list, so you're good for the next while. All in all the response to SubLab is way beyond anything we ever expected, which has allowed us to expand the dev team and also get some great sound designers working on sound packs. Thanks for the support and if you need to get in touch, we're on our community forum everyday.
Gavin.

Been using it for several weeks now and it already found a way into my DAW template.

Really hope you've solved the tuning problem with a lot of the presets with this update.
