This is what I've got going on in the works. one of two, but I thought this one sounded really good. Anything that needs changing or something, let me know.
It's very tasty, I swear!

Very cool vibe - I definitely hope that you continue down this road. Nothing bad at all to say about what you've got so far - love it.

Hello all
Where you are getting percussive sounds from?
I found a few in default presets but I'm not confident about all I can hear in your recent songs.
with regards.

Percussive sounds are synthesised using the synths. Some months I spend a week or two (in the evenings) just making the percussion sounds - it's a big part of the challenge.

There are some tutorials and tips on the OSC website:
https://sites.google.com/site/kvrosc/howtos

There are some links to the Sound On Sound tutorials.

For a kick drum: Fast pitch drop, click transient, filtered noise tail - that sort of thing.

A big tip is to find some sounds you like and then use a Spectroscope to study them (like the spectrum view in Wave Candy in FL Studio, or Soca Spectrum Analyser)
That way you can compare the version you're synthesising to your reference sound you're trying to recreate.
Because a spectroscope plots the frequencies over time, and also different brightness for how loud the overtones in the sound are that helps give an idea what you need to add/take away.

Crash cymbals are a completely different beast, if you're lucky the synth might have a stationary phaser/flange filter (like Harmor!) or FM/AM to give the metallic overtones. I haven't attempted yet with Surge.

Hi, what's the diff between LFOn and SLFOn? Can't find this in the manual.

(We were talking about this on the Slack channel with BaconPaul)

SLFO stands for Scene LFO, which is like a global to that scene (A or B).

The regular LFO is per voice.

Current progress, don't mind the sloppy playing.

Drums are so annoying to synthesize :D Hopefully I can actually finish a track this month!

Post

Nothing to complain about drums or sloppyness here. I would prefer a sloppy played performance any time over a constructed one...

Structure is more or less done, everything else from arrangement to some missing parts to sounds to mixing to re-recording the melodies is up to change :D

Currently using 8 instances of Surge, including the one I used as a filter for the outro.

Nice track! After reading about Guenons Surge as insert FX in the previous OSC I plan to do that too :) All gloves off!

Here's my submission for the KVR One Synth Challenge #122: Surge. I tried a bunch of new things in this one and I'm legitimately proud of what I achieved. I was kinda light on effects compared to other months due to Surge having most of what I needed inside the synth itself.

FL Studio 20
33x Surge
29x Fruity Parametric EQ2
5x Fruity Balance
9x Fruity Limiter
3x OTT
3x Fruity Love Philter
4x Fruity Reeverb 2
It's very tasty, I swear!
