Any One Synth ???
The most difficult question for me: Which sould I choose?
I decided to give "Prologue" a try. Prologue is one of the internal synths of Cubase. Nothing special, but a reliable, easy to handle bread-and-butter synth.
Here the discription from the Steinberg site:
Prologue is modelled on subtractive synthesis, the method used in classic analog synthesizers. It has the following basic features:
Multimode filter
Variable slope low-pass and high-pass, plus band-pass and notch filter modes.
Three oscillators, each with 4 standard waveforms plus an assortment of specialized waveforms.
Frequency modulation.
Ring Modulation.
Built-in effects.
And here is the result:
https://soundcloud.com/rockingricky/roc ... y-prologue
23 instances of Prologue in Cubase Elements 9.5
DAW intern FX:
AutoPan
RoomWorks (reverb)
PingPongDelay
Compressor
other free FX:
Lagrange
OTT
Sanford Reverb
Sanford Bass Tightener
Sorry for the length, usually I keep my tracks at three minutes (thinking of the voting time)
but this time I already shortend the track and it is still more than four minutes long ...
Enjoy!

Okay, have updated my entry, bit shinier
Have enabled download and included synth used and effex, I didn't get comment on 1st version although sum peeps did listen, I've left on SC if anyone want to listen, no real changes to the track except mix is brighter with a touch more verb, someone might be interested.
See you next month maybe

Nice one! I’ve done two AnySynth OSC’s with it in the past, lots of waveforms and a nice modulation matrix, it’s the Synth that I learned on.rockingricky wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 1:41 pm Any One Synth ???

A small contribution to the One Synth challenge
chose to use sunvox this month, one could argue that sunvox is a synth in it self but I decided to only use the Analog Generator module,
I'm really not used to working with trackers, and on an Ipad so...
sunvox daw/synth/tracker.
25 analog generator modules
3 compressor modules
5 reverbs
a couple of eq and filtermodules
have mercy

Here is my submission. About a week before this OSC 121 was announced I made a comment in a thread that TAL U No LX would be my desert island synth. Not because it could do everything but because I produced better music faster and had more fun doing it. So......I put the comment to the test. I dont know if it is better but it sure came together quick and I had a blast doing it. Maybe because I grew up using an Alpha Juno 2 and these are the sounds that sound good to me.
I used
20 TAL U No Lx
ReaEQ for tracks
Klanghelm DC1A3, MJUCjr, Rough rider, Reacomp for track comps
DD delay, Readelay, Full Bucket brigade delay for delays
Xhip Reverb, OrilRiver for Reverb
Ariwindows Everytrim for M/S duties
Softamp Psa for lite drum saturation
TDR Kontelnikov, TDR VOS Slick eq, Airwindows Busscolors4
and Loudmax on the master bus
Cover art and new and improved logo provided by KVR member mjkrakowski

I managed to name my track #118 & not #121
So I hope this doesn't interfere with the competition

You can re-name the track after you've uploaded it to SoundCloud (press the edit/pencil button), so it shouldn't be an issue <edit> I notice you already updated the name - you can also change the URL too (in the field below where you update the name), but you'd have to also update your post. It shouldn't be an issue if you do because the voting hasn't started yet.</edit>
We're down to the last few nights, and I'm only just getting into the swing of things with my track! I was having a lot of fun playing with Zebra. But also I've been doing some studying to try to improve my music theory skills.
Good luck everyone, and I hope you finish your track on time if you haven't already!

I'm quite confident that I won't finish in time, but I wish you all the best in competition and I am very excited to hear all of your musical creations!

My entry, using 33 instances of ZebraHZ. I used a mixture of my own patches, tweaked factory and freebies. This is meant to be video game battle music, pure and simple!

I'm loving Zebra, it's the most fun synth I've used since starting OSC (most challenging being Waverazor of course!)
Here's a cheeky preview of what I'm working on:

Hi! I'm finishing the mixing and mastering of my song, and I have a quick question. Is the use of multiband compressors allowed? I routed all of the percussion tracks (kick, snare, hihat, etc) to a bus and applied a multiband compressor there to enhance some frequencies. Is this allowed? The original sound of the synth is preserved
I chose to use Synth1. It's my first time here so I chose an easy-to-use synth. My other alternative was Sytrus, but it's too complex.
