I would use BandLabs Cakewalk over Zynewave Podium Free 8 days a week, 367 days a year. Podium Free only has support for 1 CPU core as far as I know, to begin with.

What is really the difference between this thread and the other 125423 threads in the same category?

@starflakeprj: Lol, lemme just mention one decisive difference to make you satisfied: "This thread focuses on PopRock Style music only". :D

Are you aware that all realtime audio processes can only utilize one core at a time anyway? So, except for non-realtime processing, there should not be that much of a difference.

And I have zero association with Spitfire outside of being a subscriber to Christian Hensons Youtube channel lol. And I'm talking about they're Free LABS player which includes some ridiculously good instruments such as a Soft Felt Piano, An E Piano, chamber strings, Accoustic Drums, Charango Guitar, even a small choir set from the Olifur Arnolds collection.

Yeah, LABS has some pretty nice sounds for sure.

Of course, Nordic Gods need love too :D

Ragnarok is great for screaming leads (I'm a progrocker by heart) and big basses, but it is equally capable of doing dreamy pads and big string synth sounds.

Unless the words mean something different than what I think pop rock and love songs mean, I would biasedly suggest VSCO2 or Sonatina for background orchestral sounds. Also the Sonatina Choir has a pleasant sound.

As DAW I would add Cakewalk by BandLab.
