Revised Mix of my previously posted track
There were a couple of things I hated after listening a few times, so did a few tweaks. As stated previously - this is an awesome synth, many things I didn't try but I wish I had.

Well then, this synth really plays itself!
Unfortunately, it doesn’t master itself. This track seems impossible to master, as it stands… The attack is so strong with this one...
I did account for a lot of the criticism I get around here, but probably not enough.
But that’s not what matters, anyway. Another distraction is how I spent a long time stuck in a box of trying to use as few plugins as possible. Now I’ve learned, many times over, that the quality of the music is definitely the most important thing.
Ironically, the best “gear” makes you feel like creating what you want, without the tool even being a thought in your mind, but rather an extension of your physical and intangible self.

That's mostly accurate, except it has an extra mastering chain that's bypassed, but is showing up as active... I've been meaning to ask the guys about why this is such a disorganized list...

I have updated my submission post! I think this information could be useful for developer. See above on page 19...

I'm sorry to read that. It's always a pleasure to listen to your tracks especially for kraftwerk fans like me! Anyway, good to see you're back.

Man! Just for the hilraious weirdness of his "summary" I love this track. Reading through it made me grin! It reminds me of my bass music zombies fighting the technos aliens from outer space...probably our tracks are from the same parallel universe... who can know ... numerous portals between the dimensions ... of music!Leonard Bowman wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 12:05 am The figment of your imagination bites! NOTE TO BJ --
I would like to request that for 118 we're allowed to use our commercial plug ins. We did this a while ago and I don't think it made one whit of difference over the scoring or who won -- but it makes it more fun and easier for mixing. If anyone else agrees, please chime in.
Thanks!

I'd agree with @ontrackp, the commercial plugin month didn't really make a bit of a difference in quality. There are enough good free ones that people already know how to use, that it's pretty easy to get a decent mix on par with commercial plugins, anyway. I'd also proffer that depending on the DAW, people already have an advantage by the included plugins and allowing commercial plugins actually can serve to even the playing field in some cases, too. Of course, I've always been a proponent of allowing this, within the same sort of constraints e.g. perhaps no chorus, etc.

I agree with the above - very little if any difference between commercial and free plugins in terms of the results! I still think that we should still NOT use modulating plugins, eg chorus/distortion/saturation/pitch fx etc … although, as per usual the grey area of allowing a touch of dist/sat could still stand!

Yes, use commercial plugins all you like!
Just not in the OSC.
Why not make commercial music with the commercial plugins?
And furthermore, chorus is a standard mixing element used in nearly every single CLA mix, among many others. You blend it in to create a stereo image and imperceptibly light movement.
Some choruses can warp the sound dramatically, but that falls into exactly into the category of massive reverbs and excessive distortion or amp simulation.
