hi,

I recently updated the beta test zip:

Since March 2019 a new zip is available on the download table (BETA TESTS ONLY row). This zip contains only the main files for each x64 plug-in (1 dll, 1 SEM, 128 presets) to reduce the zip size. Done with the last SE 1.4 engine and its c++ SDK to test the new features of its internal preset manager. Please check the README text before to install.
Included inside this one some sources of my custom SEM (SampleOscillator3 and tools) and also all versions of SE PolyMod KX (x64, x86, AU).

To check these beta release simply replace the *.vst3 (or *.dll in case of VST2 use) and *.sem files by the files provided inside the zip.
Of course if you want to regress to the actual stable releases just you need to replace these files by the older so you need to backup them simply by changing the extension like *.vst3 by *.012 (actual current version number).

All VST features are stable but the new preset management is different:
- the internal VST menu to load the factory preset is now linked to your VST3 preset folder which should be in your current document folder. So even if you use the plugin as a VST2 (.vst3 ->.dll, vst3 with vst2 wrapper) you can load the VST3 presets with this menu.
- The files size is decreased a lot and the xml text inside is different, you can load the old VST3 or XML presets but you lose the compatibility with the older versions of plugins. So if you create and you save new presets you cannot load them with the actual stable releases done with SE 1.4283.
- You able to load fxp presets done with the x86 versions done with recent SE 1.3 or SE 1.4.

Actually, I see two issues with the last SE engine 1.4408 , I cannot load my old XML presets and this internal preset management doesn't work with the Steinberg Host for testing the VST3. I sent a bug report to Jeff.
As I have no idea how my users use the XML load and save function I'm waiting before to replace my official stable releases by these ones...

Anyway you're welcome to send me a report of tests in your preferred DAW to my email:

x86 only, good for all, a different way to work a reverb.

Old SE Vst, x86 only , great to reproduce 80-90's cheap reverb, I believe it's based on the D.Haupt reverb module, so now this module is included in the x64 SE, so it will be possible to do a similar VST in 64 bit (to do list...)

Very good plate reverb

I just tested this one on my last track, good free convolution reverb, very good when you mix in the fx chain with a classic reverb.

Have you tested the beta ?

About this tract, it was very difficult to mix it and to play the lead with a lot of inspiration on several week ends because this one has a special feeling for me.
Anyway it's a special work to reproduce a live sound, this is why all is done to have no focus in bass or treble frequencies, all goes in the reverbs...

Update of BETA zip. You need to install the stable releases before to install and to test the beta releases, check the readme.txt.

http://kx77free.free.fr/English-page.html

To operate the 64 bit (x64) KX77FREE plug-ins and the 32 bit (x86) version of SE PolyMod KX plug-in require MicroSoft files called "Visual C ++ Redistributable Package". These need to be installed only once on each PC that uses these plug-ins. The AU version of SE PolyMod KX doesn't need these files...
Link to get the 2015 version (the 2017 version is compatible, check your already installed packages):

Hope 2020 is your best year to date! :hyper:

FX VST plug-in to create compatible waveforms with all KX77FREE plug-ins.

Features:
-Easy to use and to create basic analogue waveforms.
-Full parameters to make complex additive waveforms with no aliasing.
-Full 32-bit float data, multi band limited lookup tables per waveform.
-Same quality for all clock frequencies: 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz.
-13.75 Hz to 23200 Hz or more (harmonic frequency limit).
-Level and Phase parameters.
-Up to 1600 harmonics for the bass frequencies (0 volts: 13.75hz).
-Possibility to automate the level and phase of all harmonics.
-Possibility to mix several waveforms following the frequencies (0 to 10 volts).
-Possibility to use absolute or relative levels on the first main harmonics.
-Frequency analysers to compare the current waveform with the signal input.
-Built-in oscillator to listen the waveform.
-Independent x64 console program: KxWaveTracer.exe (DAW CPU safe).
-Possibility to copy directly the main levels of 40 first harmonics detected by the audio inputs analyzer.
-Possibility to sample external hardware oscillators or internal oscillator (additive waveforms).
-The sample tune is based on the virtual keyboard, the input signal must be tuned with the oscillator (by listening, with the scopes and analyzers). By this way it is possible to find precisely the loop duration for each note sampled.
-Only one button to fill the wave buffer and after to record the WAV file.
-Possibility to sample the KX oscillator output or the audio inputs (left or right input, current sample rate, mono, 16-bit PCM or 32-bit float).
-Auto WAV file duration based on one cycle (out of tune, eg: 48kHz -> 440hz -> 109.0909 -> 109 spl) or on a number of cycles following the rounded tune frequency (tuned, eg: 440 hz = 440 cycles -> 440*109.0909...= 48000 spl).
-Auto loop with zero crossing, the loop time is simply the file duration from start to end file.
-Possibility to listen the looped wave buffer to record again if you forgot to tune your sampled instrument.
-3 scopes: input, sampling input, wave buffer. There is a little knob to adjust their visibility on the background.
-49 waveform presets.

Story : x86: version 1.00 07-2007 - KVR DC 2007 - www.kvraudio.com/developer_challenge_2007.php

Inside the zip, there is a folder named "WaveTracer", copy this one on the root of your disk C. The default paths are based on the C:\WaveTracer to simplify the main installation, by this way no need to set the KxWavetracer program in administrator mode to write the waveforms and also to avoid the users document folder with a specific name.
