Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

It's been kind of quiet around here. Any news on the next release? I know...it will be ready when its ready.

I'm glad someone pinged the thread, I've just been buried in the coding.

The Intel AVX release should be out by the end of the year.

The new Metamorphic Oscillator is almost done.

The Intel AVX code is done but still needs to be tested.

We are also hard at work on the new Trance Warehouse sound bank.

The Metamorphic oscillator will be the most advanced oscillator ever created.

Just googled "Metamorphic oscillator". Only one reference to it on the Internet. Something about a "Farnaby Metamorphic Oscillator Vacuum Tube 1935" and some scientist getting turned into an alien. So you are going to be using alien tech in Fathom? Sounds like good stuff! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

It seems that my i9-9900k has AVX2.
Not tech savvy
Is the the desirable spec for Fathom?

I agree - I was also stunned reading the name. Sounds super exciting!

Don't need no stinkin black-friday, with Fathom indahaus,
always a great bargain on the merits, if ya wanna be happy!
a Fathom-only loop attached, one of my favorite Fathom sounds
with a little schmalz on top, just because :hyper:

Fathom AVX Development Update:

Time for a quick development update for Fathom Vector which is the Intel AVX release. Things have been quiet here lately due to the amount of development necessary for Fathom 3.0 and Fathom Vector. However, the plan remains the same, so here is the current progress.

I was initially hoping for a full release this month (December) before the new year, however there is still some development remaining and a lot of testing, so it looks like the big release will be late January.

Basically here is the current status.

Metamorphic Oscillator:
All development and GUI are done.
Only remaining development is dual wave morphing (about 3 days work).
Testing is still to be done.

16 Channel Digital Delay
All development done, testing still to be done.

Open GUI
This is still to be done but will only require about a week of work.

Intel AVX Parallel Processing:
All development done except the following.
The new Metamorphic Oscillator code needs to be converted to Intel AVX,
which is between one and two weeks of work.
A lot of testing will be necessary for Intel AVX still to be done.

New License Protection System:
Most development done.
Small changes still needed to ensure the installer is a simple one step application.
Testing for the new License System within the Beta Group still to be done.

The big release will be Fathom Pro 3.0 with Fathom Vector released under the new License System.
