Using Fathom with IK's UNO hardware synth is one of the really great
product duos, each enhanced by things the other excels at.
It's just a party in the nearfield skies

Interesting! I take it you use Uno as a hardware controller then, for controlling Fathom?

I have an Alesis QS8 keyboard controlling the UNO, with the UNO
sequencer playing Fathom. The UNO audio out is on one track,
and Fathom output on another. So separate fx can go where desired.

Browsing sounds from Fathom with the UNO sequencer running them,
the then making/choosing a sequence from UNO,
like being locked a candy store :hyper:

The UNO has a row flat touch keys that play Fathom and it's own sound,
so if up for it, turn off the sequencer, and play fathom chords
with one hand and UNO monosynth styles with the other.
I'm still :ud: at this point, with the routings and possibilities,
but other hardware synths with midi/audio io will also likely be
great blended fun.
Cheers

Wow, very cool!

Sound like it might make a great video.

Post

Wait! There's more :hihi:
UNO has a really great 4 octave arpeggiator, so a little restraint and
self control can be used (or sacrificed), depending perhaps on
on the endorphin count, and any environmental conditions
that might get the law involved

Using the editor software exposes an 88 key virtual keyboard
very susceptible to mouse gestures, and there are 15 scales
available, so if you're a gamer guy, it should be easy
to get some sweet glissands and sweeps going. Could be
fun with Fathoms drum presets, and a keyboard mapping
drum machine...

And Monday is penciled in as a snow/ice day so the weekend grows
even as I contemplate some rtfm :hyper: rtfm hours.
Cheers

PS it _is_ possible to meltdown an i7 cpu when arping a
no-limits beast synth like Fathom :scared:
(well, you really wanted an i9, go for it!!!)

Try 'Star Dweller' preset in the Techo folder with a four octave
up-down arp, if you enjoy silicon smoke :hihi:

IK wanted a bearded genious, or a blonde chic,
but I only had the beard part :dog:

Post

attached a little UNO powered Fathom loop,
UNO preset 69, 4 octave up-down arp
3 finger chords using Fathom Star Dweller preset, and a Synth1 percussion preset.

:dog: I lowered the polyphony a bit down from 32,
to save my cpu

Coolest thing I've heard in a long time.
Love those whistling filters, sounds like a flock of seagulls.

Great patch!

But seagulls?! You need to get out more (in nature), Everett! :hihi:
