defeats the purpose of trying to come even close to it. :phones:

The tracker does that automatically per channel. I actually just didn't bother to manually set the panning for the kick.

Unfortunately since I did the preset tweaking live, there is no recording of that and I'd need to reproduce it manually. In any case it's a simple demo clip of a generic synthesizer (Xhip) with a generic quantizer effect (Xhip Effects Quantizer) :)
Free plug-ins for Windows, MacOS and Linux. Xhip Synthesizer v8.0 and Xhip Effects Bundle v6.7.
The coder's credo: We believe our work is neither clever nor difficult; it is done because we thought it would be easy.
Work less; get more done.

Literally any subtractive synth.

You're right, damn! That wasn't supposed to end up a second time in this thread. And I'm very late to notice that :hihi: Gonna edit that in a second!

From what I gather it is old 80's synths? Is that true?
Also, I have an ipad air, could I start with that - garage band - and branch out to something more robust when I get better at it?

thanks in advance.
I would be surprised if this wasn't done by hardware analogue synths or a setup of great quality euro racks!

Personally, I haven't heard such organic sound in soft synths! But emulations might get you near.

If you want the software route, I suggest u-he Diva and RePro, The Legend by Synapse Audio, Reaktor blocks, Softube Modular etc.
