There is also a purchase link (£10) just below there that will give you free lifetime updates of new wavetables as I make them (currently ~3000 Serum-compatible wavetables in the library). Other formats available as part of the same library.
Checking them out, nice link!

Thanks for bringing this thread back to life. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention. In any case, I had forgotten just how great Serum is. I've spent the last year or two dinking around with hardware synths again - and had forgotten just how wonderful Steve's synth is. This also reminded me that I have Cthulhu waiting in the wings to be integrated into my hardware/software setup. Happy days. It's nice discovering that there is great software you've purchased, but forgotten about or neglected. I spent a couple of hours today layering some of Joseph Hollo's warmed patches with my OB-6. Oh my . . . Serum... ftw...

the demo... is it only 15 minutes all in? or 15 minutes per session? or what.

i don't think i could properly evaluate it in 15 minutes. my main worry is pops and crackles that seem to raise their head at random even though my system should be fast enough.

i have korg wavestation VST which is lightweight and i get them in that! so serum is probably gonna be way worse.

I have no idea about the demo limitations, you can only find out if you demo the synth. I wouldn't say is a CPU killer.

Don't know your specs but with all these new VSTi's and plug-ins on a several years-old computer you will need to eventually increase the I/O buffer size as you progress within your project (as big as 1024 or even 2048). You know this perhaps, I just felt the need to mention as too many people still don't know about this.

However, if you get pops with Wavestation inside a new empty project, you should really assess the performace of your setup

It's 20 minutes per session. When 20 minutes passes, you just reload serum.

I think that's exactly what I like about Serum. To me hard and sterile is "modern" sounding to my ears and exactly what I like to use now. I really developed a bit of a dislike to the old retro warm analog synth sounds. They just remind me of old 80s bands.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned in the 147 pages.
I have a question about the wavetable editor.
If I have a wave table with say, 26 subtables (waveforms) in it - is there a way to add another 26 or so waveforms from a different wavetable and append them on to the end?

I can see how to add individual waveforms (drag them to the thumbnails), and I can see how to replace the original wavetable (import) but I don't see how to *append* the contents of another wavetable to this wavetable.

Is this possible?

I'm just playing around - but it seems like a sensible thing to do - to create "morphing" "combination" wavetables.

Thanks.

Anyone using Serum with mpe? Is there a way to apply cruves to mpe modulation? (like cypher and equator).
